- Micah Parsons called out Skip Bayless for past criticisms during a podcast appearance.
- Skip Bayless challenged Parsons to a face-to-face debate on his new show or Parsons' podcast.
- Bayless criticized Parsons' playoff performance, claiming he is ineffective in crucial moments.
Micah Parsons usually goes about his business in the offseason, talking about several topics on his podcast. This time, even before he started, he had already pulled the first punch by calling out Skip Bayless.
The Green Bay Packers’ pass rusher was on Funny Marco‘s Open Thoughts podcast when he clapped back at the veteran analyst’s past criticisms with a fiery rant.
The Penn State alum essentially asked if Bayless could play his position in the NFL. On the other hand, he claimed he can do what the 74-year-old does behind the camera, maybe even better. This rant was bound to reach the former Undisputed host, and it was only a matter of time before Skip Bayless came back with a scathing attack of his own.
Micah Parsons, I challenge you to meet me face-to-face at whatever venue you choose. You can do home and home, you can do my new show, Arena Gridiron, and I’ll do your podcast… I’ll say it right to your face what I’ve always said about it.

He cited how he recently spent two-and-a-half hours with NBA star Draymond Green on his show, and talked about all the claims he has made in the past.

Skip Bayless is open to doing that with Parsons wherever the sack artist wants it to be. If that happens, the analyst assured the Packers star that he will repeat all his criticisms to his face and see how Parsons responds to that.
Skip Bayless goes on the attack on Micah Parsons again
After Skip Bayless threw down the gauntlet to a potential shouting match between him and Micah Parsons, he proceeded to double down on some of his criticisms about the injured star.

For my Dallas Cowboys, in 4 playoff games, you had one sack, and it came late in a game you were actually winning, you lost the other three… In your final playoff game as a Dallas Cowboy came at home as the 2-seed against the 7th-seeded Packers you now played for… You no-showed.

Bayless made it clear that he celebrated when Jerry Jones traded Parsons away to the Green Bay Packers, as time and again, the pass rusher proved that he was a liability in the run game.
Therefore, the analyst not only called out Parsons’ ineffectiveness, especially in big game moments, and his lackluster run defense, which is why the Cowboys have pivoted to that side. Bayless reiterated that the 26-year-old is a stat machine in the regular season, but chokes when it matters.
Even though Parsons did make a game-saving sack against his Cowboys this past season, the analyst does not consider it to be important, as it is not in the postseason where he believes the Pennsylvania native has always been a no-show.
Micah Parsons tries to manage situation with Shannon Sharpe
After listening to all this, it will be a shocker if Micah Parsons still accepts Skip Bayless’ challenge and faces him in a debate. But he does not want to do so with Shannon Sharpe, whom he also mentioned while speaking with Funny Marco.
The Packers star mentioned that the Hall of Famer knows how to balance both the opinion of a former athlete and that of a media personality. Once Sharpe took offense to this, Parsons responded:
I didn’t bring you up unc! Marco, did I respect our relationship! I never inferred you spoke about me; it was just about what I saw on other players! I never talk down on a gold jacket!

The pass rusher was probably startled when the former tight end questioned why his constructive criticism was taken in the wrong sense. It seems Parsons does not want to start a war of words with someone who has excelled in the game.
