At a recent Ring of Honor show taping, AEW wrestler Skye Blue was verbally harassed by an audience member during her match. Netizens called for strict action against the man, and there was a tremendous outpouring of support for the female wrestler.
Skye Blue responded to the concern shown for her by her fans. In a post on X, the 24-year-old mentioned that she was more than overwhelmed by all the love and support shown to her. During her match, a man in the audience verbally harassed the female star. He kept making lewd remarks about the former House of Black member. He commented on her body and referred to her using terms like ‘baby girl.’ Despite other audience members trying to stop him, he persisted with his behavior throughout the match.
I am beyond overwhelmed with all the love and support. Thank you everyone you have no idea how much it’s appreciated.

After the match, the young wrestler rushed out of the ring, seemingly very upset. Referee Aubrey Edwards called for security to remove the individual from the arena. Both AEW and arena security were involved in this incident. Further help had to be called in after the man put up a fight against security officials. Notably, the disruptive audience member was also accompanied by a child.

Ring of Honor star Rachael Ellering came out in support of Skye Blue. She was also in the ring when this incident took place and joined the AEW official in getting the matter sorted. Additionally, she commended Aubrey Edwards for her promptness in handling the situation.

The AEW referee replied to this tweet and called out any wrestling fans who make female talent feel uncomfortable. The 37-year-old said that if anyone were to yell disgusting, vile, and hateful things at her coworkers, she would make sure that they were kicked out. Furthermore, she asserted that there simply was no place for such behavior in wrestling.
Edwards added that heckling by the audience during a live show was fine. However, when one makes the performers uncomfortable at their place of work, including the referee herself, they have simply taken it too far.
