This week’s SmackDown, just 24 hours before the Elimination Chamber, was loaded with chaos. It caused mayhem backstage when Jey Uso was revealed to have been ambushed at the start of the show. ‘The Yeet Master’ had to be put in an ambulance and transferred over to a local hospital. It resulted in Uso being deprived of his spot in the men’s Elimination Chamber, for which he qualified on Raw.

Later on, Jacob Fatu and Logan Paul emerged as two viable contenders for Jey Uso‘s replacement. Fatu and Paul duked it out in the main event of SmackDown. ‘The Maverick’ deployed heavy offense to combat ‘The Samoan Werewolf’, who kicked out despite being hit with a low blow, a titanium-enforced right hand, and a five-star frog splash.

The look on Paul Heyman‘s face to that kickout from Fatu was of absolute disbelief, and so was his client, Logan’s. In the closing moments, Austin Theory, who had already cheap-shotted Jacob Fatu, got attacked by that mystery masked man, who’s been troubling the Vision members for quite some time now. The anonymous figure, however, was clobbered and unmasked by Paul eventually.

The face beneath that mask was foreign to everyone, including the commentators, who said they haven’t seen that man in WWE before. The fans have labeled it a decoy from the actual masked man to throw the Vision off. Back in the ring, Fatu regained control of ‘The Maverick’ and was about to put him away with his patented moonsault.

The former Bloodline enforcer, however, got sneak-attacked by Drew McIntyre, who smashed the Undisputed WWE title into Fatu’s face, allowing Logan Paul to roll him up and get the pinfall. And just like that, the host of the IMPAULSIVE podcast got a last-minute entry into the Elimination Chamber match.

He will have to fight the likes of Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans to earn a world title shot against McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.

What’s the real identity of the masked man that got unmasked on SmackDown?

The eagle-eyed detectives on social media have already found out the identity of the masked man that got unmasked by Logan Paul on SmackDown. As could be seen in the following post, the said guy, whose guise didn’t last long, is none other than Don Furio, who’s currently a student of Seth Rollins‘ Black and Brave Wrestling Academy.

It has triggered obvious speculation regarding Rollins being the mastermind behind the masked man storyline that’s been going on for months. At first, there were heavy rumors of ‘The Visionary’ being ultimately unveiled from the disguise of that mask to take on Bron Breakker at WrestleMania 42. ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ was attacked by the masked man before he could enter the Royal Rumble match.

Breakker was consequently dumped over the top rope in 10 seconds by Oba Femi. After Breakker got injured and sidelined, it looked like Bronson Reed was going to be the next target for the masked man. In fact, Reed was originally planned to advance to the Elimination Chamber match, but he too picked up an unfortunate injury during the course of his EC qualifying match on Raw.

WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select reported in its aftermath that the fans should expect heavy rewrites for the masked man storyline, which was on display on SmackDown. Logan Paul’s entry into the Elimination Chamber match should ring some bells after he left the prima facie masked man out cold on SmackDown.

The fans are now hoping for the actual brain behind this chaos to attack Paul during the chamber match to potentially set up a WrestleMania match. Could it be Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins? While it’d be a solid wrestling contest, WWE has already run it at WrestleMania 39.

Running it back might not intrigue the audience at all. Or is Bad Bunny behind all this? It was reported recently that WWE was gauging Bunny’s interest and availability for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas since before his Super Bowl LX halftime show performance.
