SmackDown Superstar Blair Davenport has tied the knot with NXT star Riley Osborne. The couple broke the news hours ago on their Instagram accounts. Davenport and Osborne had been dating since 2022 before getting engaged in December last year. In addition to the announcement, the newlyweds shared photos of their auspicious day.
By the looks of it, the duo held a private ceremony. Further, Davenport shared a picture of a heartfelt note about the date and location of their wedding. It’s been a memorable year for the Harrogate-born wrestler so far. In April, she finally transitioned from NXT to the main roster after competing on the gold and white brand for almost three years.
Blair Davenport debuted on the June 28 episode of SmackDown, losing against Naomi in a triple-threat Money in the Bank qualifying match. Since then, she’s been embroiled in a rivalry with the former Women’s Champion. The two squared off a couple of weeks ago on the blue brand, where Naomi once again got the better of Davenport.
Meanwhile, Osborne has similarly risen through the ranks from the British independent scene to WWE. The 26-year-old star became a student of Chase University upon his NXT debut. The faction recently failed to claim the Tag Team Championships at Heatwave, falling short against the duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
WWE and AEW wrestlers react to Blair Davenport’s wholesome announcement
After the couple’s announcement, several members of the wrestling fraternity sent heartwarming messages on social media. Moreover, wrestlers from both WWE and AEW congratulated Blair Davenport and Riley Osborne.
The likes of AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm, who has wrestled with Davenport before, and Tay Melo sent their regards. From WWE’s side, Chelsea Green and Samantha Irvin gave their good wishes to the couple. Wrestling fans also sent heartwarming messages to Davenport and Osborne.
One fan posted a GIF of Dolph Ziggler‘s famous quote. Meanwhile, a few other users online hilariously tagged Thea Hail, referencing Osborne’s romantic relationship with his fellow Chase U member. All in all, the WWE Universe was delighted to find out about the couple tying the knot.
