The greatest nightmare of an announcer was explored on Saturday Night Live. In keeping with their yearly Weekend Update custom of writing jokes for each other to read at the end of the year, Colin Jost and Michael Che concluded the 50th season of Saturday Night Live. The idea is that they force each other to read jokes that they have never seen before while they are live on television.

By the looks of it, they seem to have gone overboard with the jokes. The live reactions of the fans show them looking genuinely stunned. In addition, the NBA community also paid attention to the recent segment of SNL, as the Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and his son, Nick Kerr, were mentioned on the show, of course, for something hilarious.

Che and Josts were going at each other with their joke swaps, with Josts’ wife and world-renowned actress Scarlett Johansson also present for the event. Just as Josts was about to conclude the jokes, he had one more left: this involved the Warriors HC and his son.

Steve Kerr is here with his family, I got to meet his son Nick & I love Steve. I like Nick. I wouldn’t say I’m a Nick Kerr lover.

Nick Josts said

It’s safe to say that Che got the better of Josts with this particular joke, putting him on the spot on live television. Jost snapped and covered his palm with his face as he realized he had essentially just used the N-word on live television.

As for Steve Kerr and his son, this was just a hilarious skit done by the SNL crew, something that would not bother the Kerr family. The Warriors’ HC, on the other hand, has enough issues of his own to deal with, starting with his side’s recent elimination from the NBA playoffs this season. Both Kerr and his side will be hoping to come back stronger than ever for the next NBA season before having a quality offseason.

Steve Kerr was spotted for the 1st time since the Warriors’ playoff elimination

The Golden State Warriors’ aspirations of winning the NBA title were dashed after a devastating series elimination in the playoffs. The Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round after defeating the Houston Rockets in the first. Surprisingly, Warriors HC Steve Kerr was spotted for the 1st time since the elimination, attending the Golden State Valkyries’ inaugural WNBA home game.

Kerr will need some quality time to get back to sharpness after facing recent elimination from the Timberwolves. His recent appearance at the WNBA matchup sends a positive message to the DubNation, showcasing that the Warriors’ HC is moving on from the recent setback.

On Kerr’s part, his star player, Stephen Curry, suffered a hamstring injury in Game 1 of the Timberwolves playoff series. This ruled him out for the rest of the series, hampering his side’s chances of qualifying for the WCF Finals. Nevertheless, both Curry and Kerr will be hoping to make amends in the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season.

Steve Kerr shared an intriguing take on his Warriors’ future

The Warriors’ 2024–25 season concluded with a second-round playoff exit, therefore, there will be a lot of uncertainty around them this NBA offseason. However, their head coach, Steve Kerr, does not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Kerr had an interesting response in a recent press conference regarding his Warriors future as HC.

At this point, just year to year, I love my job. It’s so much fun. I loved this season. This was a really gratifying year in terms of the players, the commitment to each other, their ability to get through individual adversity. … I just think up and down the roster, we had guys who were committed, and when you’re a coach, that’s all you can really ask for.

Kerr’s recent remarks have surely sent loads of confidence among the DubNation. There is no doubt that he will be back as head coach for the upcoming campaign. And as long as he desires.
