SNL star Heidi Gardner issues cheeky apology to Taylor Swift after bed scene with Travis Kelce

SNL is more than just a show. It has become an emotion, a habit, and an irreplaceable part of the American viewer’s weekend dose of entertainment. For years, the show has hosted prominent stars in the prime of their career. Heidi Gardner has emerged as one of the familiar faces on America’s most beloved show. Recently, she appeared on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna to share her experience working on the show and her gig with Travis Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared on a sketch on Saturday Night Live. Travis Kelce shared a bed with Heidi Gardner as part of his gig. This was, of course, when the three-time Super Bowl champion was not officially dating Taylor Swift. However, Gardner made sure she issued an apology to the 14-time Grammy award winner. 

It was cool because right before dress rehearsal, we were in a scene, where sorry, Taylor, we were in bed together.

Gardner showcased her wit by including Swift in the sentence. The audience couldn’t help but laugh at the bit. It is unlikely that Swift would have taken offense to that scene because it was just for the purposes of entertainment, and Gardner was making light of the entire situation on air as well.

Heidi Gardner is a big fan of Travis Kelce and the Chiefs

The audience burst out in laughter as she issued this apology to Taylor Swift. Earlier in the interview, the SNL star revealed that she loves Kelce and his talent. To make sure the tight end feels more comfortable, Gardner got him his favorite snack just before they went on air. 

I was very protective (of Kelce), I asked him questions, which also as a sports fan I'm just interested in, but I was like, 'On game day what do you eat?' And he was like 'Uncrustables. I'm just pounding Uncrustables.' And so the Saturday of the show, I went to the store I got Uncrustables.

Kelce loved this gesture. Moreover, he hilariously revealed to her that he was eating ‘Uncrustables’ all day. It was surprising to see that the tight end relies upon children’s favorite snacks to keep them satiated on game days.

Travis Kelce has slowly begun to embark on the entertainment industry. His end-game seems to be Hollywood. He has expressed interest in producing movies, and he is teaming up with Prime Video to host Are you Smarter Than a Celebrity later this year. Kelce’s charismatic personality is suitable for him as an entertainer, and he has great potential to succeed as an actor.
