Controversies and troubles have loomed around the Paris Olympics since the beginning. The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics received much criticism, which offended the Christian faith. However, Simone Biles‘ mother took a light-hearted approach and called Snoop Dogg out for an embarrassing incident from 2010 during the opening ceremony.
Before the ceremony, Snoop Dogg and Hoda Kotb interviewed Simone Biles‘ parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles. During their chat, Kotb randomly mentioned that Snoop Dogg had an encounter with Simone Biles before she was an Olympian. Snoop Dogg couldn’t quite place it, but Mrs. Biles was happy to retell it on air.

They had met him in 2010 at New York Times Square and asked for a picture. However, the famous rapper snubbed the request and immediately fled. Although the incident was taken light-heartedly and all in good faith, the viewers cracked a good laugh at that.
The Paris Olympics have started and are in full force clearly. Snoop Dogg has played a significant role in executing the previous events. The rapper made news for being one of the torch-bearers. Further, he was announced as a special correspondent for NBC and regularly appeared on the live telecast of the Olympic games.

Snoop Dogg has returned as a sports commentator at the Paris Olympics. This year, he joins Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie from Today, NBC’s Mike Tirico, singer and talk show host Kelly Clarkson, and former NFL player Peyton Manning.
By now, he has had enough sports experience on his plate. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, he co-hosted with actor Kevin Hart on the Peacock show Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg. As a Special Correspondent, his job was to interact with Team USA athletes and their families. Further, he will be seen exploring Paris and sharing his experiences with the primetime audience.

Despite some people being confused about his presence at the Paris Olympics, he has not failed to make the headlines. Previously, he had also said that he was a fan of the Olympics for the unification and harmony it brings, further amplifying the reason for his presence.
