Popular American rapper Snoop Dogg joined the broadcast team as the Golden State Warriors took on the Los Angeles Clippers on Peacock. It was Dogg’s debut as an NBA analyst for NBC Sports. In a hard-fought match between two teams in the midst of under-par seasons so far, it was the Clippers who came on top 103-102 at the Intuit Dome on Monday night.

It was the Clippers’ seventh win in their last eight games as they seem to be having a resurgence after a horrid start to the 2025-26 campaign. The win takes them to 13-22 after 35 games and they are behind the Memphis Grizzlies by two games at the moment.

The Clippers will fancy their chances of making it to the top-10 as the Grizzlies are currently on a four-match losing streak. The loss dropped the Warriors to 19-18 as they sit at eighth in the Western Conference standings.

With no James Harden in the lineup, the Clippers started rookie Kobe Sanders and were rewarded as the 23-year-old went on to score a career-high 20 points. All five starters scored in double digits for the Clippers, with Kawhi Leonard scoring a team-high 24 points. For the Warriors, it was Stephen Curry who led the scorers with 27 points, but was eventually fouled out, while Jimmy Butler added 24 points.

It is no secret that Snoop Dogg is an avid fan of the NBA and the Los Angeles Lakers. He is often seen courtside at their games and recently made an appearance at the Lakers’ training facility. On Monday, he joined the action courtside alongside Hall of Famer Reggie Miller and Terry Gannon during the second half of the matchup.

Known for his sense of humor, Dogg was at it again while commentating for the match. Watch the clip below:

Being a Lakers fan, the rapper may not have been very pleased with the outcome of the game, especially considering that the Clippers were struggling at 6-22 a few weeks ago and were facing criticism for their off-the-court decisions as well.

Fans react to Snoop Dogg’s hilarious comments during commentary

Known for his spontaneous and hilarious behavior, the fans could not contain their amusement across social media as Dogg’s comments were quick to go viral. Here are some of the reactions:

Snoop Dogg on the call for Steve Kerr’s ejection

Curry was not the only one to get ejected on Monday night. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was ejected as well after two technical fouls after he went on a furious rant at the officials. With the tensions high during the fourth quarter, Kerr was seen yelling at the referees for not calling the Clippers for goaltending.

The Warriors were down 81-74; hence, Kerr’s reaction to the non-call was understandable. He had to be restrained by Gary Payton II and an assistant coach. During the incident, Dogg, who was calling the game in the second half, went viral for his comments once again.

Uh-oh, Steve gonna get thrown out. Get him out of there! Get him out of there! Back him up, back him up GP. Steve ready to fire on ‘em. Steve banging Inglewood right now. Inglewood! Get him Steve, you in Inglewood, Steve.

While it was an enthralling match between the two sides, Dogg’s commentary during the game added to the excitement as well. Both teams have gone 1-1 in the two games that they have faced each other and will lock horns two more times before the end of the regular season.
