Ace American snowboarder Chloe Kim clinched her second Olympic gold medal in the halfpipe event at the recently-concluded 2022 Beijing Games. With this, the 21-year-old successfully defended her title for the 2018 Pyeongchang event.

Meanwhile, Kim has been even more active across various media platforms and she recently marked her presence at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show. During the programme, she revealed about her major injury at the Games despite which the California native not just competed but bright back glory for her nation. 

She said, “I also had a concussion… it was super fun, the game, but at the end, I was like, ‘no, I got to go.’” However, the injury wasn’t because of the super bowl game but it happened during the third run at Beijing 2022, as revealed by Chloe Kim.

In the end, she said, “It’s all good though.”

“So proud of myself and grateful for everyone’s support”

During one of her early interviews after winning the medal, Kim had tried to explain her triumph in words. The youngster reckoned that everything still feels so unreal and she was proud of herself for achieving this outstanding feat against her name.

“It feels so unreal,” she said after the final in the Zhangjiakou mountains on Thursday.

“I worked so hard for four years to get back here and do this again. I’m just so proud of myself and I’m so grateful for everyone that supported me, even when I decided to take time off to go to school. I mean, it just meant the world,” she added.

Kim also thanked everyone for extending their support in her long journey. “I really think if it weren’t for everyone supporting me, I wouldn’t be here with another gold medal” – Chloe Kim after Beijing 2022 gold.
