Tim Means saw off Mike Perry at the recently concluded UFC 255. The 36-year-old veteran beat Mike Perry via. unanimous decision in a ‘catchweight bout’, as Mike Perry missed weight by a huge margin of 4.5lbs. The win marked Means’s 31st win in his professional MMA career.

It is to be noted that Tim Means has had one of the worst pasts someone could ever imagine. The ‘Dirty Bird’ has had his fair share of problems with drugs, being in prison, he’s been shot, he’s been stabbed; the list goes on.

Speaking at the post-fight conference, Tim threw light upon the hilarious DMs Mike had been sending him prior to the fight and also assured that he would be staying in the UFC.

When asked about the messages Mike Perry had been sending him, prior to their match, Means said, “He was sending me Instagram messages. Two weeks ago, eating big cheeseburgers with onion rings on them, stuff like that. It looked delicious. He asked me how the weight cut was going, I sent him some pictures of broccoli and avocados.

A confident Tim Means, assured that he would continue fighting in the UFC. He said, “This just puts me up for it’s time to renegotiate my contract. Starting talking to coach Tom, JJ! Sean Shelby’s already talking to me on messages now, so it’s time to sign another deal. I think that was my third fight, if I’m not mistaken, where we’re at now, so just make sure we have another fight lined up.”

How far will the aging Tim Means go? Has he still got in him to reach the apex of the Welterweight division?
