The introduction of the women’s Intercontinental Championship has breathed new life into the Raw women’s roster. WWE is currently hosting a tournament to crown the inaugural champion. However, a notable female talent is absent from this tournament, Sonya Deville. This is even more surprising considering that her Pure Fusion Collective stablemates Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler were both included. Owing to this fact, the 31-year-old recently expressed her frustrations on social media.
Deville recently posted a video on her X account, where she unleashed a rant about her exclusion. Furthermore, she took some shots at her rival Dakota Kai and even some fans. In the video, she questioned whether she was included in the tournament because she likes to brag about herself. In the caption, she clarified that this was not the full video, as she would get into trouble for posting it.
The former Women’s Tag Team Champion also took several shots at her rival, Dakota Kai. She brought up the 36-year-old’s constant pleas to get more opportunities on the main roster, especially as a singles star. She claimed that she had worked to get hard where she was, and the Damage CTRL member should not be celebrated for simply doing the bare minimum.
I would post the rest of the video but I wouldn’t wanna get “in trouble” https://t.co/PTgwfoHGjf pic.twitter.com/SLph94QMNs

I never once have “taken a break” ever… are u referring to that one time a man broke into my house to try and kill me? Or the one injury I had in my ten year career.. I’ll wait? https://t.co/AqfwNyVYmi

Kai was taken out by the Pure Fusion Collective, causing her to spend four months on the shelf. She returned to in-ring action on the latest episode of Raw and qualified through the first round of the tournament. In fact, she is one of the favorites to become the inaugural Women’s IC Champ.
Sonya Deville names Asuka as her dream opponent in WWE
At just the age of 31, Sonya Deville has a lot to do in WWE, a lot of championships to be won, and a lot of feuds to be had. While speaking on Chris Van Vliet, the PFC member was asked about who she would like to face in the squared circle in the future.
Deville said that while she had gone up against Asuka before, she had never had a match against her on television. She mentioned going up against her quite often at Live Events when both superstars were a part of NXT. It was even her favorite match that she has had to date.
Asuka has unfortunately been out with an injury for a few months now. She suffered a knee injury and was pulled from the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Fans hope that the Japanese superstar will get healthy soon enough, return to WWE programming, and perhaps have Deville’s dream match against her on TV.
