Edie Falco opens up about hard feelings towards TJ McConnell
The Roommates Show hosted by New York Knicks stars Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson has been known to have a variety of guests. However, the latest episode featured perhaps one of the shows most unusual guests when Edie Falco from the Emmy Awarded TV Series ‘The Sopranos’ joined as a special guest. But the surprise came when Falco revealed her disdain for Indiana Pacers guard TJ McConnell.
During her appearance on The Roommates Show, Falco humorously, albeit unexpectedly expressed a desire to punch him the Pacers guard in the face. Her animated outburst sparked laughter, particularly when New York Knicks player Josh Hart chimed in, admitting he sometimes felt the same way about McConnell.
I don’t like that little guy… McConnell or something? T.J. McConnell. I want to punch him in the face.
While Edie Falco’s comment may have been unexpected, but it wasn’t entirely baseless, as a Knicks fan at least. After revealing her allegiance to the Knicks fandom early in the show, her feelings toward TJ McConnell likely stem from his timely, game-changing performances during the 2024 Eastern Conference Semifinals, where the Pacers edged out the Knicks in a grueling seven-game series.

McConnell’s relentless energy, defensive hustle, and knack for irritating opponents made him a thorn in the Knicks’ side throughout the series. Josh Hart, of course, wasn’t too far behind in the banter, chiming in his own greivances with McConnell’s pesky play in the playoffs.
TJ McConnell comes up big as Pacers defeat Warriors
TJ McConnell’s ability to shine in critical moments was on display again during the Pacers’ 111-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on Monday night. Myles Turner led Indiana with 23 points and a game-clinching three-pointer, while McConnell contributed significantly with 13 points and five assists, including three crucial three-pointers in the second half.
Known more for his defensive hustle than his shooting, TJ McConnell’s 3-for-3 performance from beyond the arc against the Warriors was unexpected. For the season, he has averaged 11.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 33.3% from three-point range. However, he lit up the scoring sheets from beyond the arc in crucial moments for the Pacers.
The victory marked the Pacers’ fifth straight win and a clean sweep of their West Coast road trip. The Warriors, meanwhile, struggled to find their rhythm, with Stephen Curry enduring an off night, scoring just 10 points on 2-of-13 shooting. The Warriors’ woes were evident as they fell to 15-13.
