Southampton vs Manchester City: Southampton squared off against Manchester City at the St. Mary’s Stadium in the quarter finals of the ongoing edition of FA Cup
Manchester City took an early lead courtesy of Raheem Sterling. Southampton looked to put pressure on them and rightly so they equalised with an own goal from Manchester City.
In the 2nd half, City came up with everything they had and scored 3 goals in 2nd half to ultimately win 1-4.

Fraser Forster (4.5/10): The English Veteran Goalkeeper did not have the best nights as he ended up conceding four goals in the match.
Mohammed Salisu (5.5/10): The Ghanaian centre back was exceptional in the match as he made some great interceptions and blocks to deny the opponents several times. However a silly foul at the 60th minute inside the box proved to be costly for his team turning the table in Man City’s favour completely.
Jack Stephens (4/10): The English defender had a poor game as he gave away possession several times, which also resulted in Man City to score the opener. Stephens could have been more composed to provide his team with better support at the back.
Valentino Livramento (5/10): The English right back was struggling to keep up with the Man City forwards on the right flank. However he provided active support at the front line providing some good crosses inside the box.
Kyle Walker-Peters (5.5/10): The young English left back showed some great defensive skill set near the box as he came in with some strong blocks and clearances. Peters was strong not only defensively but also on the forward as he put forward some great balls inside the box.
James Ward-Prowse (6/10): The English midfielder showed some great composure in the midfield and provided great defensive support. Prowse was very accurate with his passes up front in the pitch which could have created a major difference if only they were converted into goal.
Oriol Romeu (6/10): The Veteran Spanish midfielder was absolutely sensational in the match as he controlled the game for Southampton and provided great balls up front for the quick counters.
Mohammed Elyounoussi (6/10): The Moroccan was good with the ball on his feet as he maintained his composure to squeeze in through tight situations. He also managed to penetrate just before the end of the first half to help Southampton equalise.
Stuart Armstrong (6/10): The Scottish midfielder showcased some great skills in the match as he was present for his team in the defense also, coming in with some good blocks. Armstrong had a good passing accuracy which created real threat for Man City in the final third of the pitch.
Adam Armstrong (6.5/10): The English forward was fast and quick to get into spaces as he took some powerful and dangerous shots but was not able to create the final impact.
Shane Long (6/10): The Irish forward showcased composure upfront in the pitch and played some great balls inside the box. Long could have been much more effective with his shots to create a major difference in the match.

Che Adams (5/10): The Scottish international forward was bought in at the 63rd minute of the game. Adams came up with a couple few chances inside the box but was poor with his finishing, unable to make a difference.

Zack Steffen (6/10): The goalkeeper made a few saves and was pro active most of the time in front of the goal, but was scored passed once by Southampton.

John Stones (6.3/10): The English centre-back was also pretty solid in the defence making good blocks and interceptions and also some progressive passes.
João Cancelo (6.3/10): The Portuguese was good on the ball and made some good runs off the ball as well. He made some combinations as well.
Kyle Walker (6.3/10): The right-back was fast to react and help in defence. He also carried the ball well and made some good passes as well.
Rodri (6.4/10): The Spaniard was good on the ball and and made some good passes as well. He also made a few interceptions and controlled the tempo in the midfield.
Ilkay Gündogan (6.5/10): The German midfielder was really decent tonight making good passes and carrying and holding on to the ball. He made some important interceptions as well. He assisted the 4th goal for Man City.
Kevin De Bruyne (7/10): The Belgian attacking midfielder was very good tonight as he always is and made some excellent passes as well. He also scored the penalty.
Gabriel Jesus (6.4/10): The Brazilian was good on the ball and carried the ball well into attacking areas. he dropped deep to recieve passes as well.
Jack Grealish (6.2/10): The English forward was good in certain situations and made a fair impact on the game making passes and runs.
Raheem Sterling (7.2/10): The English forward was very good on the ball today and carried and passed the ball well. He scored the opening goal for Man City tonight.
