CM Punk has been suspiciously absent from Saturday Night’s Main Event match card. Riding high off of Survivor Series and his ongoing feud with Seth Rollins, many expected him to be involved with the event. With Roman Reigns being taken off the show’s advertising, WWE may be looking to utilize the extra star power for this show.
CM Punk was recently seen doing commentary for CFFC in Atlantic City. During the show, one of the commentators brought up WWE’s deal with Netflix. They emphasized the huge change that the company was about to go through. The Best in the World said that he needed to calm down. This is because he might be doing commentary with Jesse Ventura on Saturday night.
Jesse Ventura established himself as one of the best microphone workers in WWE, especially during his commentary career. Seeing the wrestling legend team up with the Voice of the Voiceless on the commentary table would be a treat. Additionally, on Friday night, Punk was just a three-hour drive away from Long Island, where the show will take place.

Diamond Dallas Page says that CM Punk can do no wrong
CM Punk has vastly improved on his backstage reputation since returning to WWE in 2023. In fact, in recent times, many legends of the industry have praised him for always being willing to learn and his attitude with other wrestlers. It appears that Diamond Dallas Page is no exception to this, as he recently showered a lot of praise on the former WWE Champion.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Page admitted to being a huge fan of the Raw Superstar. He also narrated an incident presumably from Bad Blood, where the Hall of Famer made his latest WWE appearance. After the show, many of the younger talents were directed to thank all those under WWE Legends contracts who had shown up for the event.
I got a lot of respect for him anyway because it is amazing to me, like, the grip he has on the people. He can do no wrong, man.

The former WCW Champion found it very special when Punk also walked up to thank him. In his eyes, the 46-year-old had no reason to do this. He is also a veteran of the industry at this point. The two had a very pleasant conversation, and DDP showered a lot of praise on the Straight Edge Superstar.
