Sports fans sometimes can be very passionate and their way of showing their emotions differs at all times. However, a recent MLB fan and sports reporter Maeve Hushman took it a step further to commemorate Freddie Freeman’s grand slam in the World Series.
During the World Series, Freeman boosted the Los Angeles Dodgers with home runs in the first four games against the New York Yankees. His walk-off grand slam hit in Game 1 in the 10th inning was one of the iconic moments in Dodgers history.
While many will recall this moment from time to time, Maeve Hushman didn’t want to forget it at all. To make sure she remembers every moment of it, she etched it on her forearm.
Following the World Series victory, Freddie Freeman won the MVP award with acknowledgment from all his teammates and fans. He thanked the fans for all their love and support, especially when his family needed it the most.

Freddie Freeman played through several injuries in the World Series. Despite that, he was the first to hit a grand slam in 2024 WS, become the first to hit a home run in six consecutive Fall Classic games, and hit HRs in four games to help the Dodgers win the World Series.
In a recent update, Freeman also mentioned how his family can finally be home together after going through tough times at the hospital. Their son Maximus was suffering from Guillian-Barre syndrome which caused the child to go into full-body paralysis.
But thankfully the prayers seem to have been answered as they got to take Maximus home. According to medical professionals, a person can completely recover through treatment, although it may take some time to start walking again.
