Joe Rogan is no stranger to controversy, and the recent controversy surrounding him has cost Spotify. The company that made JRE podcast exclusive to their platform and had a deal with Rogan for 100 million, has taken a hit of billions according to recent reports.
Rogan is always open for discussion and believes to hear different opinions from experts around the world. And the JRE platform has become one of the major sources for listeners to know what is happening around the world. Rogan has actually made a platform that is so big, it in some regards, surpasses the thousands of media outlets.
A few of Rogan’s guests had discussed conspiracy about the vaccine, and some people took it offensively. Among these people were Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. The artists have taken their music catalog from Spotify to show their disapproval of the JRE podcast and the message transpired through some episodes.
Spotify has censored some episodes of the JRE, but the podcast is still running and this does not seem to fit well with these music artists, whose actions saw Spotify lose multiple billion market value.
