Amanda Ribas is a heartthrob of MMA fans. As such, she often received complimentary messages from fans who praised her beauty. As it turns out, recently, it has led to a bad situation. Before her main event fight against Rose Namajunas, Ribas had to deal with a stalker.

Ribas has admirers even among fighters. Sean O’Malley, the UFC bantamweight champion, has even praised Ribas’s beauty. Nonetheless, her beauty got her into a weird situation before she fought Rose Namajunas as a stalker entered the UFC performance institute, posing as Ribas’ husband. Ribas spoke about it in an exclusive interview with AgFight.

I don’t remember his name, but he was a bit of a cr*zy guy...He spoke to my father, gave him a letter, a bracelet and a teddy bear...Then I read in the letter that he had been in love with me as a man since 2020, that he met me in Abu Dhabi. We went searching. This guy, on his social network, it was written that I was his wife... this citizen managed to get into the PI, I don't know how, and was telling people that I was his wife.

When the UFC knew about the situation, they provided a security guard. Interestingly, Ribas revealed the man recently shared a status on social media, announcing he separated from Ribas but only wished good things for the fighter.

Interestingly, Ribas did not see the incident as threatening or traumatic. She spoke about it hilariously. Nonetheless, she did not win against Namajunas at UFC Vegas 89 as she lost via decision. Despite the loss, Ribas is one of the best female fighters. After all, she’s in the top 10 rankings of the UFC’s strawweight and flyweight divisions.

The way she dealt with a stalker and its aftermath is proof enough of her positive outlook on life. In her recent interview on the We Want Picks YouTube channel, Ribas revealed the reason behind her positive outlook on life.

I think from my mom, my dad, from God too, because it's clear I'm not perfect. I always made mistakes, but I always try to do the right thing, you know. So I truly believe if it doesn't happen the way that I want it's because there is some reason. So, okay, if it happens this way, okay, the good part will come.

Even though Ribas has a positive character, her not fighting on UFC 301 in her native Brazil disappointed her. She stated that Brazilian fans give off a different vibe for hometown favorites. Nonetheless, she was grateful she got to be in the main event of UFC Vegas 89 against Rose Namajunas, though she lost.

Despite the loss to Namajunas, Ribas is still a viable threat at flyweight and strawweight. After all, she even had a finish over flyweight prospect Mackenzie Dern, which was Dern’s first professional MMA loss. However, she also has lost against the cream of the divisions, Maycee Barber, Marina Rodriguez, Katlyn Cerminara, and Namajunas.
