Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa have been rumored to have ended their relationship since the end of the Wimbledon Championships. The tennis stars first began dating in 2023, capturing the attention of fans and sports lovers with their heartfelt moments on the court and on social media.

However, in May last year, the couple parted ways only to reunite a few weeks later. This year, they have been seen together on multiple occasions, including, Tsitsipas attending Badosa’s matches at the Australian Open. Also, they attended the 2025 Laureus Sportsman of the Year Award in Spain.

Nonetheless, a few days after Wimbledon, Hola reported that the couple had ended their relationship despite fighting hard to keep it together. Their apparent breakup seems more serious this time around, as both stars have unfollowed each other on Instagram and have removed pictures of each other from their Instagram account.

On Saturday (August 2), Tsitsipas took to X and posted a cryptic message which possibly confirms their split:

You know someone’s really in love when they start ignoring red flags they used to warn others about.

The former World No.3 message comes just a few days after parting ways with Goran Ivanisevic. The Greek star’s split with the Croatian coach was a result of his statements following his first-round loss at the Wimbledon Championship. The 26-year-old has now reappointed his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas, to be his head coach, just almost a year after splitting with him.

Apart from that, Badosa is currently going through a very rough patch in her career. The Spaniard is dealing with a psoas tear, which forced her to miss her Washington Open title defense. She’s also not competing at the Canadian Open in Montreal and she’s likely to withdraw from the Cincinnati Open, where she will be unable to defend her semi-final points from 2025.

Hopefully, she will be back at the US Open, where she’s part of the new doubles format. The Australian Open semi-finalist will partner with Jack Draper at the event, a surprising change after she had initially partnered with Tsitsipas.

Stefanos Tsitsipas reflects on Roger Federer’s farewell 2022 Laver Cup

Stefanos Tsitsipas got quite a few chances to play against Roger Federer towards the end of his career on tour. The Dubai champion even defeated the 20-time Grand Slam winner twice on the court, including their last meeting in the 2019 ATP Finals semi-finals.

Tsitsipas was part of Team Europe at the 2022 Laver Cup in London, where Federer ended his career. The former World No.3 reflected on how he cried during his interview with Tennis365:

I cried that night, first of all. I never imagined that I would cry for someone else, but not me in the tennis world. So I was really reflective that night of how my dream started, how I looked up to Roger. Then I was there when he was retiring. I knew. So it made me emotional. I felt for him and it still triggers me today. He’s my idol, obviously, and to see him go like this, it’s probably the biggest dream come true I could have ever asked for.

Tsitsipas is currently struggling on the court and has won only two matches in his last four tournaments. Also, he has managed only one win in three Grand Slams this season. His only victory came at the first round of the French Open before he crashed out in the second round after losing to Matteo Gigante in four sets. He’s ranked World No.30 in the ATP with a record of 19-13. He crashed out of the ongoing Canadian Open after losing to Christopher O’Connell in three sets in the second round.
