“I would call them emotional roller coasters. The performance at the US Open was probably one of the worst of my career. A special game. I was not on the court myself that day,” Tsitsipas said at a press conference in Sweden.

However, the former Australian Open finalist assured fans that he was feeling much better than before, while adding “A lot has changed in the last few weeks regarding my mental state. My love for this sport has also grown and I’m having fun at the moment.”

The never-ending Nick Kyrgios-Stefanos Tsitsipas feud

Nick Kyrgios’ story response to an Instagram user during a Q&A session

Australian No.1 singles player Nick Kyrgios recently started another round of spar with rival Tsitsipas after suggesting in an Instagram Q&A session that he never intended to fight with the Greek player and it was in fact Tsitsipas who has just been upset since he lost to Kyrgios.

Recently, Tsitsipas had also asked Kyrgios for a revenge match in a social media post. Kyrgios, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist defeated Tsitsipas in the third round of the 2022 Wimbledon Championship in a high-drama game as both the players ended up in a verbal battle during the game. Kyrgios defeated Stef after being a set down to win the game and had a cold handshake at the net after the match ended.

Tsitsipas was recently vacationing in Greece when he invited Kyrgios to come down to Costa Navarino for a rematch challenge but put forth a condition that there would be no talking this time which shows that Tsitsipas clearly hasn’t forgotten the defeat. He said: “Mr. Kyrgios please come to Costa Navarino. I’d like a revenge match. But no talking this time.
