Paula Badosa wishes to be a mother one day as she opened up about it in a recent interview and explained why, other than her career as a tennis player, becoming a mom is also important for her.
The Spaniard believes that as she enjoys taking care of her sister Jana, she will get excited when her dream of becoming a mom comes true. Badosa’s sister Jana is about 11 years younger than the tennis star and which is why the latter has always been a second mom to her. Badosa said motherhood is so important for her that she has been thinking about it since she was a child.
I have always said that I would like to be a mother. Obviously, I still have a long way to go, but it is something that I feel, especially with my sister, who is 11 years younger than me and with whom I have always felt a very internalized maternal part.Paula Badosa told La Vanguardia
Badosa never opened up about motherhood before this interview. She is currently dating Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is World No.12 in the ATP Rankings. They confirmed their relationship last year, but just a few weeks before their first anniversary, they broke up. But Tsitsipas later confirmed that they were back again.
Paula Badosa revealed last year she loves being a second mom to sister Jana
Being 11 years older than her sister, Paula Badosa feels the need to protect Jana. Badosa, in one of the six videos released by the WTA on YouTube, revealed how she was helping Jana fulfill her dream of going to the USA to study.
I protect her so much, especially the role I’m playing with her right now. It’s financial, I’m helping her. Her dream was always to come here to the US, to study, to learn English.Paula Badosa said
The 26-year-old Spaniard recently played at Wimbledon and reached the fourth round for the third time in her career. She failed to go past the Round of 16 as Donna Vekic (who played the semifinals later) beat her in three sets 6-2, 1-6, 6-4.
The former World No.2 who currently stands on the 65th position in the WTA Rankings, has not won a title this season. She has been battling fitness issues since suffering the back stress fracture and has been relying on cortisone injections in order to continue playing.
