Stefanos Tsitsipas enjoyed a relaxed trip to Namibia during the tennis off-season last year and shared quite a few breathtaking pictures on his social media. Known for documenting his travels, the Greek ace took to X on January 10 to announce his new vlog.

The vlog featured his new girlfriend, Kristen Thoms, a 28-year-old former player who used to play college tennis, with this being his first public appearance with her. Prior to dating Thoms, Tsitsipas, and WTA ace Paula Badosa reportedly parted ways mid-2025.

It’s unclear when exactly Badosa and Tsitsipas ended their relationship. But Badosa, on November 15th, shared a few pictures from her 28th birthday, and in one of the photos, she wore a sash that read, “Sexy and single”, thus confirming that they were no longer a tennis couple.

It was the second time they broke up following their brief split in May 2024. They first began dating in May 2023 after Tsitsipas messaged her following her win over Ons Jabeur at the Italian Open, and made their relationship public by changing their Spotify profile picture.

In an interview last December, Tsitsipas’ mom, Julia Salnikova, revealed that his relationship with Badosa was “difficult from the start because “they both entered this relationship injured and suffering from physical pain. When they started dating, Paula couldn’t play at all because of a back injury.

Stefanos Tsitsipas registered his first top-10 win in over 18 months

Coco Gauff gave her team a 1-0 lead after defeating Maria Sakkari. But Stefanos Tsitsipas leveled the score after downing Taylor Fritz 6-4, 7-5. Tsitsipas was pleased with his performance, as it was also his first top 10 match win in more than 18 months.

Pleased with the win. It was not easy getting into the match. I’ve been absent for a long time, and matches like this challenge you to the fullest. I feel like you really get tested in the most brutal and intense ways against players that have been very consistent in the past couple of months. Taylor is one of them. I was aware, entering the court, that my focus levels needed to be at their highest.

Tsitsipas improved his head-to-head record over the 2024 US Open finalist to 4-2. The United Cup was the three-time Grand Slam finalist’s first official tournament since the 2025 US Open, where he suffered a disappointing five-set defeat in the second round. Because of persistent back issues, the 27-year-old ended his season after his US Open exit.

I couldn’t allow myself to disconnect at any given moment during the match, and I delivered that excellently. My focus levels were there. I was trying to read play, trying to read the court and see what patterns he might start building up and liking a little bit more. I tried to stay away from those and played my game. Very offensive tennis. I dominated from the baseline at times. I felt like I was pretty solid in those rally exchanges. I’m very glad about my performance. It is one of those wins that adds to my confidence.
