Men’s Singles ninth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas has progressed to the fourth round of Roland Garros after a dominant win over Zhang Zhizhen, 6-3, 6-3, 6-1. However, this is not the only format he will be playing at this year’s clay slam.
The 2021 French Open finalist will be in action tomorrow with his elder brother Petros Tsitsipas in Men’s Doubles against John-Patrick Smith and Denys Molchanov. Later on, he will also be seen with his partner, Paula Badosa, in Mixed Doubles action against Ena Shibahara and Nathaniel Lammons. The Greek was asked in his post-match interview after the third round about his experience playing in three different formats.
Well, it's all because of love. It is if you think about it on both sides. To combine love and tennis is exceptional, I've got to say.Stefanos Tsitsipas said in his post-match interview
Earlier this month, Badosa dramatically announced her breakup with Tsitsipas on her Instagram account. However, things seemed to be getting back on track when the tennis duo were seen together in Monte Carlo.

Shortly before the French Open started, Tsitsipas took to Instagram to announce the Tsitsidosa reunion. With the pair back together, they can hope to achieve great heights both personally and professionally.
Stefanos Tsitsipas’ return to form on clay
It was all looking doom and gloom for Stefanos Tsitsipas until the clay court season. The 2019 World Tour Finals champion had early exits at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, and Miami.
However, Tsitsipas has shown promising signs during the clay court season thus far. At Monte Carlo, he won his third crown following victories in 2021 and 2022. He beat the in-form Jannik Sinner in the semi-final before dismantling Casper Ruud in the final.
Fast forward a week, and he reached the Barcelona final as well. However, Ruud managed to reverse the result to win his first ATP 500 title. Despite an early exit in Madrid, Tsitsipas reached the quarter-finals in Rome, losing to eventual finalist Nicolas Jarry.
With the field as open as it is this year at Roland Garros, Tsitsipas might be looking to make the most of his opportunity. He has shown promising signs in his first three rounds at the clay slam.
He beat Marton Fucsovics in three sets, Daniel Altmaier in four sets, and then won the match against Zhang Zhizhen in three sets. The real battle starts in the second week when the margin for error decreases.
However, he has been in this situation before. The Greek played in the French Open final in 2021, where he lost to Novak Djokovic despite having a two-set lead.
