Stefanos Tsitsipas celebrated his 26th birthday with his closest people on Monday (August 12). He is currently preparing for the Cincinnati Open, the last big event before the all-exciting US Open.

The 2024 Monte Carlo winner is currently going through a period of uncertainty with his recent exit from the Canadian Open followed by the move to part ways with his father Apostolos Tsitsipas as his coach. Nevertheless, with Cincinnati as his next target, the Greek player is on tour preparing for the big event and celebrated his birthday before his first match.

Tsitsipas had two of his closest people with him for the celebrations — his mother Julia and girlfriend Paula Badosa. He had a small celebration, with his mother gifting him a cake as the people in the room clapped. He blew out the candles and shared a warm embrace, first with his mother and then with Badosa.

A brief celebration put a smile on Tsitsipas’ face before the big event. Besides good runs in Monte-Carlo and Barcelona, he has not had much success this year. Along with that, he has to find a new coach after parting ways with his father.

They both recently exited the Canadian Open in the second round and now head to Cincinnati for some redemption. Badosa is slowly finding form and momentum, making her a good contender at the upcoming Masters event. She will take on Peyton Stearns in the first round in Cincinnati.

On the other hand, Tsitsipas will take on Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round in Cincinnati. Despite his form wavering, he is considered a strong contender for the title and is sure to give some healthy competition after an early loss in the previous tournament.
