Stefon Diggs Facing Paternity Battle Day After Cardi B Announced Pregnancy with His Child

There was a time when Minnesota Vikings players jokingly stated that they did not want star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to date their sisters. It is unclear what they meant by it, but the 31-year-old has come a long way since.

After going through some tumultuous times with the Buffalo Bills and then a forgettable season with the Houston Texans, the 4-time Pro Bowler surprised everyone with his decision to sign with the rebuilding New England Patriots.

Both his prior stops were decisions purely based on the willingness to win. However, with the Patriots, many felt he would not experience success, at least not for the first two years of his contract.

Then it became apparent that his newfound relationship with rapper Cardi B likely influenced him to sign with a team closer to New York, where she resides.

After confirming their relationship on June 1st, the Grammy Award-winning rapper dropped another bombshell yesterday, revealing she was pregnant with Stefon Diggs’ child.

The child would be Cardi B’s 4th, and Diggs’ 2nd, or at least that is what the Patriots star thought until he was drawn into a paternity test that the US Sun revealed earlier.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that the 33-year-old social media model, who goes by the name Lord Gisselle on Instagram, first took Stefon to court when she was pregnant in December 2024.

The publication also revealed that the Instagram model, whose real name is Aileen Lopera, gave birth to the child, a girl, in April 2025, and named her Charliee Diggs.

Stefon Diggs already has a daughter, Nova, 8. Now, he is expecting his second child while at the same time, facing a paternity suit from Aileen Lopera about the months-old girl, Charliee. However, he is not sure if he is the father of this child.

In response to the suit, the New England Patriots wide receiver said he isn’t certain the child is his, and he requested genetic testing.

The Maryland alum, per court documents retrieved by the US Sun, wants ‘joint legal and physical custody of the baby.’ He is also willing to share expenses borne out of Aileen Lopera’s pregnancy, the birth, as well as all legal costs.

On the other hand, the Instagram model wants the Patriots star to acknowledge and provide for her daughter. Therefore, this will come down to the genetic testing that a judge ordered both of them to undertake.

Stefon Diggs hoping he and Cardi B have a boy

For Stefon Diggs, until and unless he is confirmed to be the father of months-old Charliee Diggs, he has no obligation to focus on Aileen Lopera. Now, he just wants to be there for Cardi B, who is carrying what he believes is his second child.

Since the Maryland native already has a daughter, his comments on the rapper’s Instagram video suggest he wants to have a boy. At the same time, he is also working on finding good Spanish names.

The 31-year-old wide receiver’s decision to be closer to his woman might pay off, as he is only an hour of air travel away. When the call comes, he might not be playing football unless the New England Patriots make it to the playoffs.

Cardi B already has two daughters, Kulture, 7, and 12-month-old Blossom Belle, along with a son, Wave, 4, with ex-husband Offset. During that much-publicized divorce, it was Diggs who gave her the confidence to stand on her feet, as she revealed while speaking with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.
