Stefon Diggs found a reporter’s line of questions a bit annoying. The New England Patriots wide receiver told him to make sure he did his homework before showing up.
The interaction took place in Santa Clara on Monday as the NFL kicked off the Super Bowl week. As per usual, the media gets open access to the players on the first few days leading up to football’s biggest event.
A reporter took the chance to ask Diggs about his thoughts on what lies ahead after Super Bowl LX. “Are you planning to come back next year, no matter what?,” the individual asked Diggs.
The 32-year-old displayed a confused look upon hearing the question. He replied, “Come back where, the Super Bowl?” The reporter clarified that he was referring to the NFL in general.
Playing in the NFL? You know I’m under contract? You gotta do your research a little bit. Weird questions.
Diggs responded
At least Diggs has done his homework. Last March, he signed a three-year $63.5 million contract with the Patriots that includes $22.6 million in guarantees, with options for New England to opt out or restructure in 2026 and 2027.

Well, after the season he’s had, it’s unlikely that the Patriots would cut ties with Diggs regardless of the Super Bowl’s outcome on February 8. In 17 games, Diggs racked up 85 receptions, 1013 yards (11.9 yards per catch), and scored 4 touchdowns.
It’s a huge personal turnaround for Diggs after spending one year in Houston nursing his torn ACL. The spell with the Texans was meant to be his salvation after an unceremonious end to his tenure in Buffalo. Despite playing some of his best football, the best Diggs could manage was an appearance in the AFC Championship game.
However, instead of holding a grudge, the Pro Bowl wideout only wishes the best for his team and ex-teammate Josh Allen.
That quarterback (Allen) is a Hall of Fame quarterback. Parts of me wish things were different because I do got a lot of love and respect for that team.
Stefon Diggs declared
Diggs, once a fifth-round pick for the Vikings, has racked up 161 games over his 11-year career in the NFL. In those games, he has accumulated 942 receptions, 11,504 yards, and 74 touchdowns.
Stefon Diggs’ superstar girlfriend has made it clear she’ll walk away if she ever catches him cheating
Diggs is yet to marry and settle down with a woman. That may well change now that Cardi B has entered his life. The pair last year welcomed a baby boy and plans on starting a family.

It will be an extended family that includes Diggs’ five kids from a few different partners. Cardi also has three kids from her ex-husband, rapper Offset.
Cardi accepted Diggs as her own, but she won’t tolerate future surprises. According to a report from the Daily Mail, the WAP singer has set up some ground rules for Diggs.
She’s been very clear with Stefon: if he messes up, if another woman comes forward with a baby after they became official and started a family together, she’s done.
An insider said
Such an arrangement clearly is the result of the recent paternity tests that confirmed Diggs had babies with different women while seeing Cardi. She’s been supportive before, even going so far as to quiet her unruly fans when it came to her hooking up with Stefon.
Her latest stand seems to point to a subtle tension between the two. She has experienced heartbreak before when she was with Offset, so perhaps she wants to prevent a repeat. Only time will tell.
