Steph Curry daps up Drake amidst ‘beef’ with LeBron James sparking reactions: “What an actual brother looks like”
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was once very close to rapper Drake just as Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were.
Drake and Steph Curry are still close unlike LeBron James
The discourse dominating the NBA and the music world is the situation between formerly close friends LeBron James and Drake. In the offseason, it became evident that the Los Angeles Lakers star had switched over to Kendrick Lamar, whereas Steph Curry and Kevin Durant stuck with the Canadian rapper.
LeBron James unabashedly continued to vibe on Kendrick Lamar’s tracks on every occasion. The Los Angeles rapper’s tracks were even part of the Lakers superstar’s 40th birthday celebrations. A major contrast as earlier, such occasions were earmarked for James’ closest friends.
After that, a teaser track leaked on to social media with the name ‘Fighting Irish Freestyle’. Fans quickly noted that this could be Drake‘s diss towards James for ditching him when the tide turned. That led to further discourse from others who alleged that James did not do right by Drake.
During all this time, Steph Curry reiterated that he was a ‘Drake guy’ through and through. Earlier today, the Golden State Warriors superstar had a chance to show the world what he meant when the Warriors suited up to play against the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors being Drake’s de facto team meant the rapper was bound to be courtside. He was as Steph Curry approached him prior to the game. They dapped each other up and embraced with wide smiles on their faces.

They continued to exchange words, but their smiles did not subside and then the four-time NBA Champion went back to work. The game did not go to plan for the 36-year-old as his team lost to Drake’s Raptors 101-104.
Fans take shots at LeBron James after Drake and Steph Curry embrace
When clips of this embrace went viral, fans jumped at the chance of taking shots at LeBron James. To many it was clear that Steph Curry did not leave Drake when Kendrick Lamar apparently called him a pedophile on ‘Family Matters’. Curry even openly hit out at the constant playback of Lamar’s diss track ‘Not like Us’, which James loved.
Instead, it was the Los Angeles Lakers superstar who ditched his friend when those allegations arose. Fans felt for someone to do that to who was once known as a ‘brother’ was not right. They took to social media to hammer James and praise Curry, examples of which are below.

LeBron James might be focused on the situation in Los Angeles right now. However, the discourse surrounding him and Drake has already gained traction off late. Now this embrace between the rapper and the two-time league MVP is only going to fan the flames of that discourse.
