Netflix finally released its much-awaited ‘Court of Gold’ documentary on the 2024 Paris Olympics and it’s time to take a nostalgia trip back into one of the greatest moments in basketball history. The documentary dives into some of the most iconic moments of the Olympic basketball tournament, and gives us a closer look into the most memorable moment of the tournament – Stephen Curry’s magic in the gold medal game.
The documentary provided a behind-the-scenes look at Curry’s pyrotechnics which led Team USA to an iconic victory over France in the gold medal game. In a clip that emerged on social media from the documentary, Curry and USA head coach Steve Kerr recalled the closing minutes of the Final game, which saw the Warriors star explode for four straight three-pointers to end the game, including the iconic ‘night-night’ dagger shot.

In the documentary, Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr went over what led up to the iconic moments towards the end of the game. Curry, who had just 12 points coming into the 4th quarter, had been scoreless in the last period until just over 3 minutes were left in the game. The 36-year-old star recalled how a pass from LeBron James got him into a rhythm, which eventually led to him draining 4 straight shots from behind the arc.

As fans went over the glorious moments to close the Olympic Finals once again, the overarching sentiment across fans was the same – Stephen Curry deserved to win the MVP award at the Olympics. The MVP at the Olympic games was eventually secured by Curry’s teammate LeBron James. But that did not stop the future HOF’er from etching his name into the history books. Further into the documentary, Curry spoke about his thoughts after draining the final 3-pointer to seal the game. He described the ending to the Olympics as almost a ‘storybook’ type ending to what was a historic moment.
