The Colorado Buffaloes have come a long way since their 4-8 record last season. The team has outdone itself in eight games this season and is Bowl-eligible for the first time since the pandemic-shortened 2020 season.
The credit for the Colorado Buffaloes’ success goes to head coach Deion Sanders who has established a winning culture within the organization. Following the team’s consistency this season, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith gave props to Sanders and the organization by dubbing them as the ‘biggest storyline’ in all of college football right now.
The analyst gave props to Coach Prime on First Take and picked him to win coach of the year honors.
The analyst believes Coach Prime has proved all the critics wrong by winning more games than last season. He did not just stop there.

The analyst further credited quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wideout/corner Travis Hunter for their performances. He brought up their numbers and marveled at their game.
Smith believes the Buffaloes have a winning roster and a great head coach who has taken them in the right direction.
To think that this team had won just one game two years ago and is now en route to winning at least nine games speaks volumes about Deion Sanders’ impact as the head coach of the team. Coach Prime has not just come into the organization and brought the nation’s top recruits with him, but has also inspired a culture change from within. Deion Sanders is preparing these young men for life beyond football.

He has taught them to be accountable and demands excellence from them regarding their academic performance and field performance. Deion Sanders’ coaching style is similar to Samuel L. Jackson‘s on-screen character of Ken Carter in the 2005 movie ‘Coach Carter.’
He has turned a failing program around quickly and is arguably a solid candidate to win Coach of the Year honors. With Colorado Bowl-eligible, it remains to be seen how far this talented squad can go.
