Stephen A. Smith admits he was set for a Tom Brady-like roast before his sister stepped in saying “Hell no!”

After watching Tom Brady’s Netflix Roast, when everyone was swearing off having a roast session on themselves, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith revealed how he thought of it as an exciting idea and he might have actually done it if only his sister hadn’t stopped him.
During Wednesday’s episode of First Take, the 56-year-old and his host panel were discussing the controversial Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which has been the hot topic of discussion for two weeks now. As the conversation proceeded, Smith shockingly revealed how he was called for the roast and he was also on board with the idea, believing he could surely take it.
However, the only reason that collaboration didn’t work out is because of Smith’s sister, Carmen, who talked the analyst out of doing the roast.
Can I confess on national television - I was actually called. They wanted to roast me. And I was going to do it, it doesn't bother me. I could care less, I can take it. Smith then added he loves his sister, and he as well is thankful for not doing the roast. However, he did call out the NFL legend, who seemed to be regretting getting roasted as it affected his children.

After the brutal jabs targetted the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s personal life, especially on his ex-partners, Bridget Moynahan and Gisele Bundchen with whom he shares his three children. His former wife, Bundchen even expressed her disappointment on the internet saying it re-opened her old scars.
While the legendary quarterback was being called out for not taking any stand for his former wife. After the roast, he swiftly made his way to his home skipping the afterparty, and later apologized to Bundchen for the brutal jokes.
But when he regretted getting roasted saying it affected his children negatively, analyst Smith called him out saying what else was Brady expecting. Given that the seven-time Super Bowl champion gave no prior memo to the guest restricting jokes on his family that can affect his children.
