Stephen A. Smith has been a recognizable face on TV for the better part of 15 years and has a journalism career spanning over three decades. However, at the age of 57, he may consider a career change to join politics and someday even become the President of the United States.

Donald Trump‘s securing the Oval Office for the second time in his career by defeating Democrat candidate Kamala Harris remains fresh in the minds of the nation’s people. Several notable personalities, before and after the voting process, have discussed the subject of whether they think of becoming president one day.

I have said this on many occasions; the answer would be hell no because I like my life, living a pretty good life.

However, Smith confessed that if ever the chance of debating the candidates comes by, he will not pass up that opportunity. He would stand on the podium at the presidential debate and discuss the overlooked matters, but he would never “be a congressional figure or a senator.”

That doesn’t mean Smith has never thought about it. If the conditions are favorable, then he might give it a go.

If you came to me and you told me I had a legitimate shot to win the presidency of the United States of America, I would definitely consider it.

The Democratic and Republican candidates have dominated the presidential election for many years. So, it’s natural for Smith to join one of those two congresses.

Smith sees the picture differently. He unknowingly opted to walk on the same path as Aaron Rodgers and revealed fighting as an independent candidate.

I would be an independent [candidate] because I don’t like either side and I’m not gonna be bought and paid for. I’m going to do what I believe is in the best interest of the American people.

Whatever may happen in the future, Smith is a much-respected member of the ESPN NBA and NFL pundit community.

He is a regular contributor to one of the network’s most-watched sports shows, First Take, and is in line for a new contract. Smith currently earns $12 million per year, but according to him, he deserves the same amount as Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
