This time when on a recent episode of First Take he voiced his opinion that the Milwaukee Bucks should trade Damian Lillard just after one season of acquiring his services from the Portland Trail Blazers. His statement has sparked a lot of engagement among NBA lovers on social media.

However, while making the statement he emphasized that he isn’t questioning the 2013 NBA Rookie of the Year award winner’s abilities. But instead, the constraints the Milwaukee Bucks are facing at the moment such as their limited maneuverability placed by their senior roster as well as luxury tax constraints.

My belief is that they should trade Damian Lillard. No, that's gonna be very very difficult to do. I'm not questioning his greatness at all.

Damian Lillard joined the Bucks at the start of the 2023-24 season to complement and lessen the scoring burden on Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he has had to deal with injury and personal issues which is one of the reasons SAS wants the Bucks to explore the option of trading him.

Stephen A. Smith also referred to the period Dame said he was feeling out of place in the city of Milwaukee. Furthermore, while SAS has his reason, it’s still left to the Bucks to decide the path they choose to take.

Damian Lillard wants to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks

Damian Lillard has reiterated his commitment to the Bucks despite the speculation from some media personalities as well as his team’s first-round exit at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. He denied reports which suggested he was on the move away from the team.

I’m extremely excited. It’s been some hard times. I haven’t denied that one time this year. Basketball and personally, it’s been some hard times. But it’s never been an issue with Milwaukee. I get the opportunity to play with Giannis. I’m playing with veteran players. I know that the only thing we’re playing for is an opportunity to win the championship. And that’s why I made the decision to be a part of something like this.
