However, things have turned bitter between the two, and it has gotten a lot worse. The two veteran personalities have been well known for their hot takes over the years. But it is clear that Smith’s stardom at ESPN has caused a major rift between him and Whitlock.
The former ESPN sports columnist made some remarks and took shots at Smith recently in a podcast. Smith, who never shies away from speaking his mind, made sure to reply to Whitlock on his Straight Shooter show.
You know what I’m contemplating doing, Jason? I haven’t made a decision yet. But I’m thinking of starting a GoFundMe account for you. Because clearly you’re that desperate. That’s why you talk about me so much. I keep you relevant. That’s perhaps the worst insult of it all. “Fat Ba****d Lock” – That’s the title of the GoFundMe account.

Jason Whitlock never misses an opportunity to take shots at Stephen A. Smith. Whitlock threw shade at Smith when Shannon Sharpe was going through some personal issues after a young woman filed a lawsuit demanding $50 million in settlement for s*xual assault.
However, this time, Smith left no stone unturned. He did not address every remark Whitlock made about him, but his response and personal attacks made it clear that he is not messing around anymore.

The fact that Stephen A went to such lengths to try humiliate Jason shows it really got to him and makes him look even weaker, now Jason can gaslight him for even more reactions.

The recent back-and-forth between the two journalists has caught a lot of attention on social media. While Smith went all out, many believe his personal attacks were unnecessary, and none of it was warranted.
Jason Whitlock called Stephen A. Smith a fraud
Stephen A. Smith’s recent statements about Jason Whitlock were his response to Whitlock’s remarks about his basketball career. Whitlock had gone off on Smith a few days ago.
Whitlock made an appearance on 4th&1 with Cam Newton podcast and called Smith the most overrated sports personality right now.

He’s fraudulent. If I said in the media space for 20 years, telling everybody I played for ‘Big House’ Gaines and I got a full-ride scholarship after knocking down 17 straight 3-pointers in a scrimmage on a Sunday when they played a game on Saturday, and they gave me a scholarship on the spot. Anybody familiar with Winston-Salem State, and how little money Winston-Salem State has and had back then? They’re not giving out scholarships on the spot to anybody. It’s all a lie, and I’ve done the homework.
Jason Whitlock on Stephen A. Smith
While Whitlock called Smith a fraud for lying about his basketball career, it is clear that Smith did not take it too well. It is likely that both figures will not be done and will continue to trade barbs in the coming days.
