“Two people are out of a job today!” Stephen A. Smith blames Aaron Rodgers for the current turmoil in the Jets camp
Aaron Rodgers gets flak from Stephen A. Smith for his bad performances that have cost the job of two people from the New York Jets.

The New York Jets have not had the season they expected once Aaron Rodgers was back healthy. Owner Woody Johnson let go GM Joe Douglas a month after doing the same to Robert Saleh, leaving the franchise without an established leadership. This led ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith to discuss what he felt went wrong.
When Robert Saleh was fired, it was said that Aaron Rodgers had a major hand in that decision. However, the quarterback denied any involvement. Fans and analysts did not buy that denial as news filtered in that Saleh wanted to demote OC Nathaniel Hackett, a close friend of Rodgers.
But after the 45-year-old coach departed, it was expected that Rodgers and the team now have the ability to play to their full capabilities. If not the defense, at least the offense could. But since then, they have done anything but that. Leading to Stephen A. Smith to say this while on First Take.
If Aaron Rodgers had played better, the Jets would have won a few more games. Had they won a few more games, these guys wouldn’t be gone. There’s no way around it. When we look at the New York Jets, and I don’t like saying that, but two people are out of a job today, and Aaron Rodgers has a lot to do with that.

The analyst did mention that everything was dependent on Aaron Rodgers’ play this season. That is considering neither the former head coach nor the GM had their jobs on the line last season when the team struggled. Suggesting that this year’s performances, particularly from Rodgers, has had an impact.
Davante Adams has no regrets teaming up again with Aaron Rodgers
Once the losses started piling up, fingers started pointing towards Aaron Rodgers. For him to have such a lackluster season despite having an elite squad around has baffled many. One of his latest recruits was friend and former teammate Davante Adams.

But for Adams, the move has been a downgrade. Prior to leaving the Las Vegas Raiders, he was the star on the team who had an identical 2-4 record to the Jets from their first six games. But he was joining a much more talented roster. When asked if he had any regrets coming to the New York Jets, he said no.
No, I don’t live my life like that. Hindsight’s always 20-20. We’re talking about playing with Aaron Rodgers here, this isn’t like taking some crazy gamble with some rookie that’s unproven.

The three-time All-Pro did acknowledge that both he and Aaron Rodgers have not played well. But even then, he has no regrets moving to New York. He mentioned that everyone wants to be in a better situation, which also made him want the move.
After all, he was getting to play with a four-time league MVP unlike his situation with the Raiders who have no proper solution at quarterback. It is not as if Raiders are better than the Jets now, but considering the talent they have, the green team is not in a good position.
