One of the most renowned NBA Analyst is Stephen A Smith who has already gone onto predict that the red-hot Golden State Warriors would be dethroning the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers in the 2021-21 season.
The Golden State Warriors has been a powerhouse in the last 5-6 years in the NBA, but the previous season they clearly missed their marquee players Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. Who have literally carried the weightage of scoring from behind the arc for the franchise. Whereas the evident flaw for the Lakers even in the 2019-20 season was the lack of scoring 3-pointers. Thompson and Curry exclusion resulted in the Warriors ending at the last stop of the Western Conference

The much spoken about rivalry is the history of NBA is Stephen Curry vs Lebron James. As in when the latter came into the Western Conference, this factor was highlighted by every second basketball enthusiast. But fans did not get to see this rivalry as Curry suffered from an injury and then the pandemic happened.
If the two Western juggernauts lock horns in the playoffs, it would certainly spike fans’ interest. But nothing is written on the stone yet, as no one knows how good the Warriors will actually turn out to be after their two superstars are coming off of injuries.
Having said that, there is no doubt that the key for success would be Thompson and Curry’s form in the next season. But as far as dethroning the Lakers is concerned, no one knows till where is that possible. Especially with Davis and Lebron teaming up in such dreamful fashion.
It is only up to time to unravel all the answers as the new season gets underway from December 22.
