When you know you’re risking your professional record, it’s a pretty big deal. The same can be seen with the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, which was recently sanctioned. A lot of people have been pondering why the Texas Department of Licenses and Regulations has allowed the fight to go ahead as a professional match. As such, many have been perplexed by this, and Stephen A. Smith also weighed in on the situation.

Netfix’s first live boxing event is set to take place on July 20, and it has already gained a lot of attention. Furthermore, people have vocally expressed their distaste for the fight because of the significant age gap. Now, the fight will reflect on both of their professional records. Subsequently, Smith also voiced his concerns similarly and is not at all happy with this fight.

Smith also spoke about how it is sad that a 57-year-old Tyson will fight in a professional fight at his age. He then called out Paul for not fighting an active and reputable fighter, even though he has been taking boxing seriously.

The reporter also questioned how Jake Paul would achieve greatness in the sport by fighting a legendary champion who retired almost 20 years ago. Smith then told Paul that if he is only after the money, he should continue this trajectory in his boxing career.

Mike Tyson sends a warning to Jake Paul

Tyson has recently been giving fans a glimpse of his training and his physique ahead of the fight. The impressive training video does show why Tyson is regarded as a legendary champion. Furthermore, while his age might have decreased his stamina, Iron Mike still has his punching power and technique.

As such, he recently showed his speed by striking his trainer in the body and hands during his pad work. He did the pad work while at a parking lot in Nevada. Subsequently, Tyson finished with a vicious right hook that served as a warning to Paul.

In the caption, the former champion remarked how he couldn’t wait to do this to Paul. Mike Tyson has a disadvantage in terms of age, but he is compensating for it with his discipline and mindset. Iron Mike has even claimed that he is faster than Paul, even though they have a 30-year age gap.
