I think it's Jaylen Brown...You're looking for Jayson Tatum to perform. You're looking to Jaylen Brown to galvanize the troops while performing.

One could surely argue about this wild claim made by Smith as many would have different opinions regarding the two star players.

On the sports side of things, in the four-game series against the Pacers, Brown’s scoring was what made him stand out. He averaged 29.8 points on 51.9 percent shooting, but he also contributed 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. This may be one of the reasons why Smith has been so appreciative of Brown rather than Tatum lately.

Mike Greenberg asserts Jayson Tatum wasn’t happy with Jaylen Brown being named ECF MVP

The Boston Celtics‘ Jaylen Brown was on fire against the Indiana Pacers in all games of the ECF Playoff Final series. Not only that, he was also awarded the ECF MVP for his stellar performances throughout the series. Notably, Mike Greenberg shared his views on why Brown’s teammate Jayson Tatum was not happy with Brown winning the ECF MVP.

When Jaylen Brown wins that award and the moment when it happens, the rest of the team just goes crazy, they're all so genuinely excited for him and you did not seem to think that it was mirrored and there's Jayson Tatum.
Mike Greenberg said on the “Get Up” show

Notably, Brown and Tatum share a strong bond on and off the pitch and have been vocal about it in the past.

On the sports side of things, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will be focused on achieving the NBA title together this 2023-24 season. All the other noise regarding the two stars may just be ignored as they have their eyes set on the main prize. The Boston Celtics will face either of the Minnesota Timberwolves/Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
