Serena Williams, who is married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, reportedly dated Drake and seemingly took a dig at him with her cameo during Kendrick Lamar‘s halftime performance at Super Bowl LIX. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, however, didn’t mince his words as he claimed that if he were Williams’ husband, he would have divorced her.
Drake referenced Williams in his 2013 track ‘Worst Behavior’ and called Ohanian a ‘groupie’ in his 2022 song ‘Middle of the Ocean’. Williams, who had mocked Drake in last year’s ESPYs, made headlines for her unexpected crip walk to Lamar’s Drake diss track ‘Not Like Us’.
And although her performance received positive feedback, Smith was not impressed. He thinks her taking a jibe at Drake at a showpiece event was a poor look for the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion.
If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his a**, ‘cause clearly, you don’t belong with me. What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.
Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN’s ‘First Take’

But fellow analyst Ryan Clark rushed to Williams’ defense and said that if Smith was Williams’ husband, he would’ve been ‘kept man anyway’. Williams tied the knot with Ohanian in 2017 and they have two daughters together: Olympia (7) and Adira (1).
Alexis Ohanian slams critics for questioning Serena Williams’ crip-walk at Super Bowl
Serena Williams‘ crip-walk celebration after clinching the gold medal with her victory over Maria Sharapova in the final of the 2012 London Olympics at Wimbledon sparked massive controversy. Her performance was even considered a glorification of gang violence.

The crip walk, also called c-walk, was first created by the Crips, a street gang that originated in Compton, California. Both Williams and Kendrick Lamar are Compton natives. Those who criticized Williams’ Super Bowl crip walk, were slammed by Alexis Ohanian.
Some of y’all have no idea how criticized Serena was for this same dance at Wimbledon 13 years ago and it shows…. This is bigger than the music.

Williams, following her Super Bowl cameo, had herself joked that had she performed a similar crip walk back in Wimbledon, she would have been fined. But though Williams paid no heed to her critics whatsoever, Ohanian continued to take jibes at them. He also took a cheeky dig at Stephen A. Smith for his remarks with his, “I got you @stephenasmith” comment.
Also just wait until some of these folks learn about the illicit/criminal origins of Irish step-dancing or Northern English clog dancing! They’ll be APPALLED I tell you. OUTRAGED, even.
