Stephen A. Smith has used his smarts, his sarcastic opinions, and his never-back-down attitude to build himself quite a career. Now, at age 57, he is entertaining the possibility of changing his life.

Smith recently signed a $100 million contract extension with ESPN, holding him down for the next 5 years. This contract has brought in some additional responsibilities that will see him appear on The Walt Disney Company’s other platforms.

Some believe the head honchos of ESPN and The Walt Disney Company are backing Smith as a potential Presidential candidate in the 2028 elections. After initially talking down on those possibilities, the sports analyst has openly accepted that he could run for office.

However, there are many sips between the cup and the lips, and Smith knows he will have to do a lot to even build a campaign. He has claimed that he has the support of billionaires and those in power, hence he could seriously think of running in a couple of years.

His popularity as a candidate is also increasing, as the Democratic Party struggles to figure out its next nominee. Along with all the barbs he has been throwing at President Donald Trump, some believe the Queens native has his chair in his sights.

Stephen A. Smith literally took that to heart and posted an edited photo of himself sitting in the President’s chair in the Oval Office, replete in his gym outfit and sweat bands. A plaque in front of him reads ‘The Buck Stops Here’.

Fans lose their minds after Stephen A. Smith poses as the President

Sports fans have witnessed Stephen A. Smith alter his mannerisms of late. They have also seen him opine about political issues more than he used to on his podcast. Then the appearances on FOX News, conversations with right-wingers, etc.

All have gone on to seemingly confirm the fact that the ESPN analyst could launch his Presidential campaign soon. But no one was prepared for Smith to showcase his sarcastic side when he posted this edited photo of himself on the President’s chair.

Some fans were left shaking their heads as they felt he was dreaming too big for someone who was merely a sports fan. Others felt his sarcastic take was a jibe at many who might believe his intentions are not clear. Check out some of those reactions below.

Stephen A. Smith might not immediately launch a campaign, but his post has left many believing there is a possibility. The support he enjoys will largely go on to determine whether he takes it seriously.

The lack of a proper nominee from the Democratic Party, along with his popularity, has some, such as longtime talk show host Bill Maher, believing that Trump could find a way to run for Vice President in 2028. That way, he continues in power.

Stephen A. Smith, as a guest on the show, agreed with this and suggested that a close family member, such as Donald Trump Jr., could be in the running for President. That way, his father takes the Vice-President seat, but remains as the unofficial head of state.
