Stephen Curry gets pissed off at a fan who tries to snatch his game-worn shoes from a kid

Few things get athletes more worked up than some overzealous adults trying to take signed goods from younger fans. A similar situation occurred during the post-game of the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Golden State Warriors matchup when an older gentleman tried to snatch Stephen Curry‘s game-worn sneakers, which were intended for a young fan.

In a video recorded by someone in the stands, Curry was captured visibly upset and riled up at the older man. He can be seen yelling at the top of his lungs, commanding the man to return the shoes to their rightful recipient.

Frustrated by the incident, Stephen Curry screaeds, “Ey, no! Give it to him (the kid).” The fan who originally recorded the video captioned it, “They getting my GOAT mad.” The account it was first posted on is named @TheMisterMann, who appears to be a die-hard Stephen Curry fan based on his live tweets and profile picture, which shows Curry in a Santa Claus cap.

After putting up only two points in what was his worst game of his career against the Grizzlies, Curry did his best to pull the Warriors out of its slump. He scored 31 points making 10 of his 21-field goal attempts, sinking seven three-points and dishing out 10 rebounds to go with it to help his team secure the win.

Warriors started out the season strong, winning six straight games. However, since then they have been stuck in a rut. They have lost nine of their 12 game, including a 51-point spread blow out versus the Memphis Grizzlies.

Stephen Curry’s worst game of his career to this date

It’s a seldom sight to see Stephen Curry, arguably the greatest basketball shooter in the world, have an off night. And it’s an ever-rarer sight to watch him have the worst night of his career, scoring only two points via free throws.

During the Golden State Warriors’ 51-point loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on December 19, he missed all seven of his field goal attempts and all six of his three-point attempts in 24 minutes of playing time.

I like the vibes better right now… I’m going to keep saying it cause I genuinely believe it, we are better than what we have been playing, better than what we showed tonight. The vibes are way better. It’s nice to say it but you’ve got to be able to do something about it. So, we’ll wait and see.

This highlights how, despite their struggles and the 51-point loss against Memphis, Curry believes things have been clicking for them as of late. Notably, this isn’t the first time they have lost by such a significant margin. Last season, they were blown out by 52 points by the Boston Celtics.

The new addition to the Warriors’ squad, Dennis Schroder, may be attributed to their improved chemistry. Although the German athlete has only played two games with his new team, he is averaging seven points per game. However, he is yet to make a three-pointer in a Warriors jersey. Nonetheless, he seems to bring a fresh energy to the environment.
