Stephen Curry becomes the all-time leading scorer in the Golden State Warriors’ West Coast Era since 1962. Curry is not the #2 all-time scorer of the franchise, behind Wilt Chamberlain who has scored 17, 783 points against his name. Curry broke this record playing against Milwaukee Bucks, where Curry scored 19 points and came to the #2 spot, passing ahead of Rick Barry who had 16,447 points.
Curry now has 16,449 points. After being drafted in 2009 in the league, Curry has been phenomenal for the Warriors. The franchise built a team around their young potential star ever since the first season. As a result, Curry delivered leading the Warriors as the most dominant team in the last decade. Appearing in the NBA Finals for 5 times and winning it on 3 occasions.
Stephen Curry breaks multiple record playing against Milwaukee Bucks
Stephen Curry is returning for the Dubs after his last season ended on the bench. Although when he wanted to return, it was too late for the Dubs to bounce back to a playoff position. Even if wanted to, the pandemic had already stepped in to pause the season for a while. Now, that Curry has returned, he is expected to lead the Warriors to another glorified playoff season without splash brother Klay Thompson.
Curry’s role in the 2020-21 season is beyond description. He not only has to score points. But also has to lead the team full of youngsters consisting of Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr and James Wiseman. Having said that, the Warriors have already lost 2 consecutive game by huge margins. The first being against Brooklyn Nets by 26 points and then to Milwaukee Bucks by a staggering 39-point difference. Let’s hope things better for the Dubs when Draymond Green returns in the next game.
