Stephen Curry is one of the legends of the sport. One may think that Curry is excellent in all aspects of the sport of basketball. However, that is not the case. NBA stars from Team USA were recently questioned if they could turn a basketball using their finger, and it turns out that not everyone can.

Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Haliburton said they couldn’t do the ‘spin the ball’ test. On the other hand, LeBron James admitted he isn’t particularly good at it either. However, Curry was the highlight of this reel as he even added how “embarrassed” he was towards the end of the video.

I...so I can do a lot of things with the basketball. A lot of things. That's (spin the ball) one of the most embarrassing things... You got me nervous even thinking about spinning the ball on my finger..I can't do it!

Despite not knowing how to spin the ball on his finger, Curry remained a stellar player for the Warriors this past season. To put it bluntly, he was the single shining light as his teammates struggled through the entire season. Draymond Green had troubles and meltdowns, whereas Klay Thompson struggled with form.

It now remains to be seen how he performs in the upcoming Paris Olympics for his nation, Team USA. It is important to note that Curry has never won the Olympic gold with Team USA. In fact, he never appeared on an Olympic team for the USA before. As such, the entire upcoming Paris Olympic games will remain essential for Curry to add the gold medal.

Stephen Curry seizing the opportunity to play with LeBron James for USA

The NBA stars, notably Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and many more, will play for their nation in the upcoming Paris Olympics. The stacked roster aims for the gold medal after losing in the semi-finals of the FIBA World Cup last year.

Notably, Curry opened up and shared his views on playing alongside a legend of the NBA in James. He claimed that it would be “surreal” to play with him on the same team in the competition. In a video uploaded via Yahoo Sports on YouTube, Stephen Curry praised James, citing his game and hard-working mentality. 

To have LeBron as a teammate is surreal, because you have so many battles back and forth, you admire his game, you know what he's about, and to see the work up close and personal every day, to see how he prepares, how he talks in practice, I've never had that vantage point of him.

Interestingly, Curry and James have been fierce rivals over the years, featuring in 4 NBA finals together. This will be the first time the two NBA stars play together on the same team. In addition, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is still deciding which players will start, but it appears that both Curry and James will receive the nod.
