Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry
The NBA’s annual All-Star Game has noticeably lost its excitement in recent years, with both fans and players voicing frustrations over the lack of competitiveness, particularly on defense. In response, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced that he is working with Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry to revamp the format for this year’s game in San Francisco.
Last season’s All-Star Game was widely criticized for its record 168 three-point attempts and lack of defense. To address these concerns, Adam Silver revealed according to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon that he had consulted with Curry to introduce significant changes to the game.

The revamped All-Star Game is scheduled for February 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco. With Curry’s input and the NBA’s commitment to change, fans can expect a refreshed and more competitive format that showcases the league’s top talent.
Stephen Curry himself has to recover from the freak injury he sustained early this season. Although he has been missed, his team has rallied strongly in his absence to go three games unbeaten.
Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu three-point rematch to return in 2025 All-Star event
With a necessary revamp in the works, the 2024 NBA All-Star Game’s standout moment was arguably the thrilling three-point shootout between Stephen Curry and WNBA’s Sabrina Ionescu. As revealed by the NBA commissioner, it is set to make a comeback in 2025.

Sabrina Ionescu, who is fresh from winning the WNBA title with the New York Liberty, had set the bar high with an impressive 26 points. However, the Baby Faced Assassin responded with a stunning 29 points and missed just six shots in 27 attempts.
While fans are eager to see what a rematch will look like, it’d be great to see what other changes will be made to spice up the event. And if Curry’s perfection is to be believed, then fans, including All-Star critic, former President Barack Obama, should expect great results.
