- Stephen Curry has not played since January 30 due to a knee injury, and the Warriors are struggling in the Western Conference standings.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry have been married for 15 years now. The two have four children together, two daughters named Riley and Ryan, and two sons named Canon and Caius. The youngest being Caius, who was born in 2024.
Over the years, they have become a power couple in the NBA. In the last decade, Curry has been the face of the league alongside LeBron James over the past decade. While his performances on the court were a major factor in his huge popularity, his positive image as a family man played a significant role as well.
During a recent appearance on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson’s podcast, IMO, Ayesha Curry detailed her perspective about their early relationship.
This is another thing that gets misconstrued. People, for some reason, think that in the past I’ve said that he wasn’t my type. What I was saying was, I didn’t think I was his type, because this was Mr. Cool. And so I kind of sold myself short in thinking like, oh, there’s no way, he must just like me as a friend. So I won’t even take it that, I’m glad it didn’t. I’m happy I didn’t get friend-zoned.

Ayesha Curry faced backlash a few months ago when she made an appearance on the Call her Daddy podcast and said she was not ready for marriage while dating Stephen Curry. Her statements were taken out of context, and her perspective on IMO got everyone in the room laughing.
The two have been together since their college days and have come a long way since. It is unfortunate that Ayesha had to go through so much criticism, but that is the dark side of social media. Being a partner to someone like Steph was never going to be easy, but the power couple has done a fine job in bringing up their family and supporting each other’s careers.
What has Stephen Curry learned from Ayesha Curry?
Despite all the noise and criticism, Steph and Ayesha have always stuck by one another. The two are seen together making public appearances, and Ayesha is often seen courtside during his games.
During the IMO episode, Steph spoke about what he has learned from his wife and kept it simple.
I’ve learned from Ayesha what true ambition and passion really looks like on a daily basis. And that’s not just career-wise, that’s for your family. She lives everyday with her full self, and I know it’s scary and vulnerable at times because you want to kind of protect yourself, and she puts herself out there. I’m a little bit more reserved in that respect. I can get there on the court and, like, have those moments, but on a daily basis, I’m a little bit more kind of even-keeled, and I wish had that instinct.

It is interesting to see how different Steph is on and off the court. He pointed out that Ayesha has had a positive influence on his life, and she has pushed him to tap into a different kind of energy.
Stephen Curry is yet to scrimmage
It has been a difficult 2025-26 campaign for the Warriors. After Jimmy Butler tore his ACL, the Warriors have struggled to make any noise in the West. To make matters worse, Curry has not played a game since January 30 due to a knee injury.

According to NBA insider Anthony Slater, Curry is yet to scrimmage, and there will be an update later this week.

In his absence, the Warriors have fallen to tenth place in the Western Conference standings with a 35-38 record. The Dubs have gone 8-15 since his injury against the Detroit Pistons. With a spot in the play-in tournament guaranteed, the Warriors will be hoping to see their four-time champion return as soon as possible with just nine games to go in the regular season.
