People often tend to forget that athletes and sportspeople who relentlessly work throughout the year are also mere human beings. Off the pitch, they also have a personal life with their families and loved ones, with whom they spend most of their time. NBA superstar Stephen Curry recently took to his social media to showcase his love for his wife Ayesha Curry on their 14th wedding anniversary.
Curry made a point to put forward how much love and affection he has for his wife and how much she has stood behind him through thick and thin over these years. In addition, the two-time MVP also highlighted a difficult year in his message to his wife via the post he made.
Life has been throwing some jabs recently but it’s always a reminder that I got my backbone and my rock with me through it all! 14 years blessed and many more to come. Don’t get it twisted, you’re more beautiful than ever. Love you my woman! July 30, 2011 @ayeshacurry

Steph Curry is an NBA superstar with four titles and has made hundreds of millions. Ayesha has supported the Golden State Warriors superstar through all the highs and lows, not just when he was in the spotlight but even before it.
From their history, when all he had was a dream and a resolve, she was there. And now, when he has established himself as one of the best players to ever grace the game, she remains there unflinching. She has always been his home-court advantage, regardless of the season or the storm.
By ‘difficult year,’ Curry might also be talking about his 2024-25 NBA season with the Warriors that did not go as planned. The Warriors were knocked out during the NBA playoffs in an early exit, putting an end to their dream of achieving a fifth NBA ring in their career. Although Curry has not retired or shown plans of retiring, a 5th ring looks far away at this point.
Stephen Curry’s mother, Sonya Curry, makes an honest admission about her son
Without his mother, Sonya Curry, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry most certainly would not have achieved his current level of success. Even the four-time NBA champion has admitted to it. That said, Sonya has been the main crucial facilitator in Curry’s NBA success. The upbringing and the qualities that she has instilled in the warrior star have been one of the major reasons he is at that stature right now.

Notably, Sonya once opened up on the exact moment she thought Curry was destined for success. She claimed that both her sons, Stephen and Seth Curry, ‘knew the game.’
We never pushed sports on them. They knew the game; they watched the game. They were children who went to the games, sat and watched. They weren’t running around, weren’t worried about refreshments and things like that. They watched games at home … So they were students of the game.
Sonya Curry said in an interview with The Today
Steph’s performances all these years are a clear indication of his mom’s teachings, preparing him to equip him for life’s challenges. The former MVP has led the Warriors to NBA titles and received innumerable honors during his 16 years with the franchise.
Stephen Curry makes an important case on the CBA structure in the NBA
The most talked-about topics nowadays are player salaries in the basketball community. The WNBA players recently took a stand against it by wearing t-shirts, Pay Us What You Owe Us, during the all-star weekend.
As this unfolded, NBA superstar Stephen Curry also chimed in on this matter, but on his side of the sport, regarding the salaries. The Warriors star made an interesting case on the CBA structure that is implemented right now in the league.
I think, because of the way the CBA is structured right now, we can’t participate in equity. And that’s a big deal because it is a partnership with ownership. It’s a partnership with the league, and we’re on the short term of the revenue.

Curry believes stars should have the opportunity to receive equity.

According to beIN SPORTS, Curry is expected to earn $59.6 million this season. He still believes, though, that the amount does not adequately reflect the value he and numerous other underpaid players bring to their clubs. However, for the time being, NBA stars stay way ahead of their WNBA counterparts.
