Stephen Curry delivered one of his best performances for the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night against the Orlando Magic. Despite a relatively quiet season, Curry erupted for 56 points, reminding the NBA world that he still has plenty left in the tank before hanging up his jersey.

While much of the focus was on his performance, Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry also shared a heartfelt moment with his mother, Sonya Curry, after his 56-point outburst against the Magic. As he headed to the locker room, Curry called out for “Mama” and gifted her his game-worn jersey, earning a priceless reaction from her.

Being at the game and receiving an unexpected present undoubtedly made ‘Mama’ proud. Before separating in 2021, Steph’s parents, Dell Curry and his mother, were married for 33 years. His siblings are 30-year-old Sydel Curry and 34-year-old Seth Curry.

On the sports front, Steph Curry reminded the league that he still has it in him. He went 12 for 19 on three-pointers and 16 of 25 overall. However, the Warriors have a lot of work cut out for them if they were to secure a Playoff spot this season, although Curry, 36, is still playing very well.

With Curry and the newest acquisition, Jimmy Butler, in the squad, it is not an impossible task for them if they were to win almost every game from this moment.

Stephen Curry opens up on ‘insane’ performance against Magic

On Thursday night, Stephen Curry ended two 3-pointers shy of former teammate Klay Thompson‘s single-game milestone of 14, and both figures are season highs. An ecstatic Curry opened up on his performance after the game.

With every gray hair that pops up your hair, you start to appreciate moments and milestones like this so very very special. Just scoring the basketball, you know I love to do it, have nights like these and I just want to soak it all in.

Curry made an appropriate level of history by tearing apart the Magic. He made at least nine 3-pointers in his 45th game. This was more than the next five players collectively.

Additionally, Curry scored 50+ points in his 9th game since turning 30 (Wilt Chamberlain had seven, the next closest). This is among the most in NBA history.
