Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant
Stephen Curry, 36, is in his 16th NBA season, and knows he has a limited number of years left until he retires. Before ending his career, the four-time champion had stated that he would like to win another NBA championship. Notably, Curry has admitted that his time is running out, but he hasn’t yet revealed a specific retirement date or timeline.
In addition, Curry also spoke about the late NBA legend, Kobe Bryant regarding the last years of his NBA career. Bryant faced a tough ending in his basketball career. He was injured during major portions of his last years in the NBA due to an Achilles injury which derailed his form. Due to this, Kobe Bryant retired a bit earlier than he would have expected to do so. Curry recently opened up on this.
You don’t want to be in a situation the Lakers were in those last three years with Kobe. I know he came off the Achilles injury, but… they were a lottery team, and it was more just how many points can Kobe score down the stretch of his career. I don’t want to be in that scenario.

As for Curry and his side, the Warriors had a 27-26 record going into Wednesday. This is good for the final play-in slot and 10th place in the Western Conference. The signing of Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline gave the Warriors a major upgrade. Also, the terms of Butler’s contract coincide with Curry’s 2027 contract expiration.

The Warriors have also shown that they want to maximize the time they have left with their greatest player in team history by acquiring Butler. They have already seen how this action has given the team new life. Since the Curry era, the Warriors’ core has evolved. But until he hangs up, Curry wants to stay at the forefront of the title race.
NBA calls off Stephen Curry-Sabrina Ionescu three-point battle at All-Star event
With the weekend approaching, everyone in and around the NBA is excited for the much anticipated NBA All-Star event. The event occurs every season, with Sunday being this season’s All-Star event. Notably, another event that fans have been waiting for is the three-point battle between Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ionescu.
However, fans were recently given the ‘bad news’ regarding the much-anticipated battle. According to reports, there won’t be the highlight of the 2024 All-Star Weekend this time around in 2025.
We weren’t able to land on a plan we thought would raise the bar off of last year’s special moment. We all agreed not to proceed and will instead keep the focus on All-Star Sunday’s new format.
NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said

However, an alternate plan was for famous WNBA star Caitlin Clark to be pitted against Curry with Ionescu going against Klay Thompson. However, Clark rejected it. Given that, Curry and Ionescu had little interest in merely reenacting the same action in a different venue, and the NBA league office didn’t like the backup plan. Hence, California will not get the highlight of the 2024 Indianapolis All-Star Weekend.
