Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry
Months have passed since the blockbuster Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade deal was made between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. However, the thrill and noise remain around a deal of that velocity. Recently, a video featuring legendary NBA stars like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green went viral for their reactions for the Doncic trade deal.
Curry, Green, and Brandin Podziemski were shown on camera, stunned and shocked by the news of the seismic deal. Nobody could have imagined that the blockbuster deal would suddenly materialize, so it’s hardly surprising that the move took the Warriors trio by surprise. So much so that it left Curry screaming on the phone after coming across the news.
Notably, Curry was the first to introduce the Doncic trade news to Draymond Green and Buddy Hield. Also, it appeared that the Warriors were enjoying a team function when the news was announced. Kirk Lacob, the Warriors’ assistant general manager, questioned whether the trade was a hoax because no one could accept it.

The NBA community was also taken aback by Curry’s reaction to the Doncic-Davis trade deal. Mainly because Curry is not someone to react in the way he did. He is known for his calm, quiet nature on and off the court. One fan took to X to explain the importance of this deal. The fan wrote on X, “This video tells you everything. Even Lukas peers were like hell nahhhhhh it cant be. Dumbest trade in sports history.”

As for the Warriors, they were knocked out by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the WCF semifinals and will now head into offseason. Stephen Curry’s hamstring injury may have harmed the Warriors’ prospects of making a lengthy playoff run. However, they should be pleased with their mid-season turnaround, which was facilitated by the Jimmy Butler deal.

Aside from this, Curry and his Warriors side have all to play going into the next NBA season. With two years remaining on their contracts, the Warriors’ core group and head coach Steve Kerr appear to be leaving to pursue other opportunities or maybe retire. Hence, they have to give it their all if they wish to pursue the 5th NBA title.
Stephen Curry opened up on his offseason plans after Game 6 loss
Even the best need to recover, such is the case with the Warriors’ star Stephen Curry. He suffered a season-ending hamstring injury in Game 1 against the Wolves. This also hampered the Warriors’ chances of moving forward in the playoffs. Nevertheless, Curry made his feelings clear on the upcoming offseason and how he looks forward to dealing with it. Curry said:
I'm going to take full advantage of the offseason knowing I've been playing a lot of basketball for the last year, and a lot left in the tank to prepare for, so I'm excited about it.
These words surely would send much confidence towards the DubNation. Going into the 2025-26 NBA season, the Warriors fans will be hoping that Curry and Co. go all out for the 5th NBA title. This is something Curry dreams of. Given that, it remains to be seen how this situation unfolds in the coming years.
