The Golden State Warriors made a flying start to the 2024-25 NBA season. Now, they have backed up their start with impressive performances over the last month. The Warriors have lost just 3 games since this season began.
They are on an 11-3 run in the Western Conference, led by their star Stephen Curry. The Warriors are currently in 1st spot in the West. Their most recent win came against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, just a few days after losing against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Warriors defeated the Hawks 120-97 because of 27 points from Andrew Wiggins and 23 points and eight assists from Curry. The Warriors star man has displayed an all-round performance for his side. Curry, and Buddy Hield scored 11 points off the bench, while Trayce Jackson-Davis finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Before their game against the Hawks, however, the Warriors and their fans were hit with some devastating team news. As per reports, De’Anthony Melton, the starting shooting guard, will have surgery to repair his sprained ACL. This rules him out of the rest of the 2024-25 NBA season.

On the other hand, the Hawks have been playing poorly this season. They are on a 7-9 run in the East and are sitting in seventh place in the table. They gave away 11 turnovers against the Warriors in the first half, which contributed to 15 points for the opposition.
