Once a season is over, LeBron James first spends time with his family. He makes sure he gives them all the time they need before offseason workouts start again. Other than that, he spends his personal time playing video games and vibing to music.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is a self-proclaimed master at Madden and Call of Duty. He plays both with his sons, or battles top ranked players online. His fans know him as a 40-year-old who spends his time twiddling controller buttons whenever he can.
That is why no one envisioned him ever taking to golf. He took to the greens in his home state of Ohio in between workout sessions at the Cleveland Cavaliers facilities. Fans, however, understood it was his first time out, as he did not have the quiet demeanor of a golfing enthusiast.
James was talking the same trash he usually does while on the basketball court, or while battling players on his console. However, golf was a welcome change. His IG post claiming how bad he is at it went viral and caught the eye of a certain Stephen Curry.
Welcome. We’ve been waiting for you.

The Golden State Warriors superstar appreciates that his fellow Team USA gold medalist has taken to the game he plays passionately. Knowing how the game helps in soothing the mind, Curry might be hoping for the day when the two, along with fellow Avenger, Kevin Durant, could play golf together.
Golf is not easy per all-time NBA great LeBron James
Other Team USA players, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum, play golf. They took the greens along with Stephen Curry during the Olympics preparations to play a round. However, it is not a game for everyone, as LeBron James claimed in his IG post.

Boy o Boy it’s a mind f**k to say the least! But I think I enjoy that part of it a lot! Haha!

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar practiced teeing off. Despite just doing that, he believes he is nowhere near good enough to play the sport. If he does take an interest in developing his game, he might have to put in a lot of work.
Charles Barkley loves golf, yet took a very long time just to correct his swing. If James was to take the game seriously, he would have to put in some serious time to get the basics right, and then continue to refining his game.
ESPN analyst does not believe Mavs want LeBron James
Even at the age 40, LeBron James wants to win a title or two, and rumors surrounding a potential trade to another contender are rife. The Dallas Mavericks were touted as a possible destination, however, ESPN Mavs reporter Tim MacMahon does not believe they want James.
You’re giving up three or four rotation players for a potentially ring-chasing retirement tour, that doesn’t make sense for Dallas. It doesn’t make sense for LeBron.
Tim MacMahon said on ESPN’s Get Up
The longtime Mavericks reporter added that even if the four-time champion has interest, a trade is unlikely. The Mavs would not want to give up that many pieces to bring in a one-year rental. They want to compete for championships for at least the next few years.

However, MacMahon did point out that there is a way LeBron James can join his former teammates, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. That is, if he asks the Los Angeles Lakers to buyout his contract. But he does not see that happening, as it would place the Lakers in a difficult spot.
