Stephen Curry’s ELITE prediction before thrashing Serbia and France revealed by Warriors teammate

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry put up two amazing performances at Paris Olympics

Team USA won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics on the back of a couple of stupendous performances from Stephen Curry. His clutch scoring not only lit up the Olympics, but also put pressure on their opponents which eventually led to the wins.

However, earlier in the tournament, Steph was struggling mightily. It will be intriguing to know how he managed to keep his focus, as revealed by a Golden State Warriors teammate.

Rookie Brandin Podziemski played against Team USA in scrimmages before the Paris Olympics started. During the Games, he landed in Paris to cheer his illustrious Dubs teammate. He recalled their conversation while on 95.7 The Game radio:

I was there for a couple games before (the Serbia game). At the time when Steph was struggling and not making shots. He told me and my friends he's gonna go off the next two games. That was against Serbia and France. He told us and he did it.
Brandin Podziemski said

Podziemski then added that he saw those two games back at home. He found it surreal that Stephen Curry did exactly as he had told his rookie teammate.

This goes to show the elite mindset a player like Curry possesses. That mindset is what brought him two league MVPs, four NBA titles and multiple clutch shots that blew the roof off of arenas. He brought similar clutch shots to the last two games in the Olympics as well.

Brandin Podziemski is a player who has spent an entire season training and playing alongside his Golden State Warriors teammate. But even then, he was amazed to see the mentality his illustrious teammate has.

Stephen Curry was looking forward to this moment years back

With those performances, Stephen Curry has cemented his legacy as one of the greats of the game. But he had made it his mission a couple of years back. After winning the 2022 NBA title, he said this to his teammates:

I gotta get something y’all got, I ain’t got. I ain’t good yet, I got to go get an Olympic medal.
Stephen Curry said in 2022

It goes to show that he had it all worked out in his mind. That is, he felt his career needed a gold medal to feel complete.

Even jokingly referring to his lack of an Olympic medal as something that made him feel he wasn’t good enough at the time, Curry will be relieved to have achieved that goal after two years. It was a glaring omission that many American NBA superstars haven’t had in their careers, especially when the question is about one of the greats of the game.

Now with the medal in hand, and those two blockbuster games, Stephen Curry will go down in history as one of the best ever. Maybe even topping the GOAT PG conversation for that matter.
